In addition to what @SP. has quite correctly written, please be aware that Sound Forge is now manufactured by BorisFX so all support requests should be directed to them.
However, it is likely that the confirmation of purchase email you would have received includes some kind of voucher or serial code for Ozone Elements. Have you checked ALL of the content of that email?
@Paul-Gaunt It's also likely that you can get a free upgrade to Sound Forge 2026 if you just bought it. To my understanding Boris FX will upgrade you for free if you bought the software in 2026.

OMG Magix have stolen my money, I thought they would still support their products as apparently Boris only supports theirs >=SF 2026
Fortinatly I'm in the UK and am within the 14-day cooling-off period, so I shall hit them with my consumer rights. I will screenshot this as well.
Yes, you are right, serials in email. Would you believe over an hour going round and round with Perplexity, the best it could come up with was post here. It was also incapable of restricting its search to SF18 only - Total trash. I will not use them, though, as I don't wish to complicate my refund.
Thanks
PS, I take it that as Magix no longer support their products, when I have to reformat and install my SF17 is dead as it needs Magix to register the serial and the same for Vegas, I imagine :(

Do you know how I do this? Edit: I'm on perpetual, not SAS
I tried logging into Boris using my Magix, but no go. But then it got weird, I set up a Boris account using the same email as my Magix account and in my account, there was no licence info, BUT it had my physical address, which they can only have got from Magix! I did not enter this as part of the signup, so Magix have given my personal details to a third party, I did not give permission for this - I will hit them hard with GDPR!
To check that I did not give my address details as part of the signup, I set up a second account, and no address details were asked for.
But what a mess, as I was just setting up a dummy account, I tried to use a simple password, it rejected it, but it did not tell me what the problem was, all it did was highlight the first password box. No message as to what the problem was and what a suitable password was!
Then, when I logged in for the first time its tries to take me to licences in my account, which produces an error, unlike the account I registered with my Magix email.
Also, it appears there is no way to close your account, so I'm going to have to set their emails to Magix/Boris's CEOs ones!
What a mess - Talk about design failure!
I'm going to have to cancel my card as Magix has my CSV number and are spuing my details to all insundry. My fault, though I know that any company that does not take PayPal cannot be trusted, but I still gave them my card details - Doh
@Paul-Gaunt Boris FX staff needs to manually transfer the SF18 license to your Boris FX account. This is still ongoing, because there a many thousands of users.
Yes, Boris FX account has some problems. To my knowledge you can't unsubscribe from the newsletter. You have to contact Boris FX support. But usually, they respond pretty quickly, usually in a day. So, if you ask them if you can upgrade to SF 2026 because you just bought SF18 and provide them with your order confirmation e-mail from Magix, it's likely they will give you SF2026.
Refunding your Magix purchase and buying it again from Boris FX is more expensive. Boris FX has substantially higher prices.

Magix will keep the license servers running. Apparently they are contractually obligated to do this for at least the next three years. By then there will be hopefully so many bugfixes that you no longer want to use SF17 and older Vegas versions, even though Vegas 22 runs very stable.
