Pro X6 not working right with dual monitors

Pro X5 worked fine, but recent upgrade to Pro X6 does not.  Opens with usual Monitor 1, all windows, but blank left Monitor 2.  All is fine on Monitor 1.  When I scrub or edit, Monitor 2 shows a small video copy of Program Window in a small screen, which also plays in the Program Monitor at top left of Monitor 1 (duplicate video playing).  If I drag Program window from Monitor 1 to Monitor 2, it works fine.  If I then go to full screen, it works fine.  If I drag Program Window back to Monitor 1, instead of usual desktop back on Monitor 2, it shows a blank black screen.  When I edit or play, what is in Program Window also plays on the blank screen of Monitor 2 but in a small window.  No controls - it is not really the Program Window, but video shows like it.  This did not happen with Pro X5 before "upgrade."
Using Win7, 8 core AMD cpu, 16 g RAM, SSD C drive, 5 additional internal drives.

Hi,

See also the following post and my questions about X6 and the later post under Q&A about NewBlue that cannot be used with the 64bit program. X6 seems to be off to a bad start.

Hi

What is your graphics card setup?

Are you using the 'Extend Desktop' option for the second monitor?

Which monitor is assigned as the primary monitor in the graphics card settings?

John

My primary card, used for both monitors, is AMD Ratheon HD6900.  I have a 2nd card, NVIDIA GdForce GT430 only to have CUDA for DaVinci Resolve.  That card is not connected to a monitor.  Again, I didn't have these issues with Pro X5, only after I upgraded to X6.  I'm not sure that was really an upgrade.

Both monitors are connected via VGA cables.  My primary monitor is VGA 24" resolution 1920x1200 @ 75 hz.  The #2 monitor that is not working correctly in X6 is a 22", 1920x1080 @ 75hz.

I can use Monitor 2 for concurrently running programs, but when closed it returns to blank screen and shows the same as the Program Monitor if that is left on Monitor 1 small size.  Usually I move the Program Monitor over to Monitor 2 and show it full screen.

This is not a major issue, but just one of several issues that started with X6.  After this is or is not resolved, I'll talk about no being able to screen capture in X6.  This may be connected to the dual monitor issue.  And that also, the screen capture, worked perfectly in X5 and does not work in X6 - causes crashes.
