Problems with Double Clicking in Sound Forge Pro 18

If I want to select a part of a wav file, I will place two markers at different points in the file and Double Click the center of the two markers. In Sound Forge Pro 10 when I do this there is no problem. It get selected. But in Sound Forge Pro 18, I have to Double Click multiple times before it will select what I want. Why is Double Clicking not working? I only have this problem when I'm trying to select a section of a music file. Otherwise Double Clicking works like it should. If I right click the area I want to select and click on Selection and pick an option from the drop down menu, it works fine. This is frustrating. Is it me or is there a bug? Does anybody know how to fix this? Thanks.

It is not you @Paul-Millen, your PC or it's click speed setting... As I recall, this annoying behavor initially started with SF-16 and has not been addressed in subsequent builds or versions. As I stated, adjusting the PCs click speed settings will have no effect, so it is necessary to double-click really fast.,, or use another method to select a region (Ctrl+Shift> Left/Right keys) ..or.. use SF-15 or earlier.

Thank you for confirming that I'm not crazy. What a dumb and weird bug. Also thanks for the "(Ctrl+Shift> Left/Right keys)" suggestion. That works much better that using Right Click>Selection. I really appreciate your help!

rraud, you might be interested in remapping two of your Function Keys that you don't use to handle "(Ctrl+Shift> Left/Right keys)". I downloaded from Microsoft their free software PowerToys and used the Keyboard Manager to remap two Function Keys. So now I position the cursor and hit one of the two Function Keys and it selects just as if I hit the three keys"(Ctrl+Shift> Left/Right keys)" but with only using one key. Anyway, it helped me with this dumb problem. Just thought I'd pass on this work around.
