re-registration with MAGIX

I own several products, including Vegas Movie Studio HD Platinum. I registered these products several years ago on the website of the original distributor, Sony. I reinstalled them during a computer update, but I can't use the products because they refer to the now-closed Sony website. Since the products have been transferred to MAGIX, do I need to register them again with MAGIX?
