Reset programme settings to default

Video Pro X 16 Latest Updated version. Windows 11

I had an error generated that there was a codec issue when rendering in HEVC format. The same error was given for the MPEG4 output format. The suggested fix by the programme was to reset the programme to defaults, which I did. My settings were saved to Windows, which I can access, but how do I get them loaded back into Pro X 16? Could not find an easy answer online after a search, so I would appreciate any help here.

Hi.

Not sure what you mean.

The program reset is done within the program and stored there.

Then the settings are accessed within the program settings.

Hi

In order to help you with the export issue we need more information and clarification:

  1. The full error message and codes given by VPX 16
     
  2. Did the reset fix the export issue? If so then reloading the backup copy made on reset is most likely to re-introduce the issue.
     
  3. Which export preset(s) caused the error?
     
  4. Did you make any changes to the presets parameters, if so what?
     
  5. Do you have any of the 'All-in-one' codec packs, eg K-Lite, installed? These are not recommended and are known to cause some issues.
     
  6. Is the AMD Ryzen 9 5950X overclocked ?
