The DV files for my project have been deleted but the are not in my Recycle basket. Where can I retrieve these from? I am using Magix Movie Edit Pro 10 plus

I have been working on a project in Magix Movie Edit Pro 10 plus but the AV files etc. have been deleted in error. Although I have saved the completed folder this will not open as it states the DV file cannot be found. I have checked the recycle bin but the dv files are not here either. Is there anyway I can use the project again or do I have to start from scratch?

First check to see if those DV filesyou had are maybe not .bak files now. It is a long shot , but do a search for the names of the DV files with a .bak extention.

Then it is possible that they are indeed lost. I am not sure what else to tell you. The .bak file is for the project I am sure, which still requires the component files (building files such as the AV file) to be in the same location it was when the project was built. If they are moved the project cannot open them because they are in a different location, if the files were deleted, then of course the program cannot open them.

If these files that were inadvertently deleted are not in the recycle bin, I am afraid they are lost.
