Trouble installing Magix Movie Editor 17.

I downloaded the trial version of "Magix Movie Edit Pro 17" from Magix site. I liked it so much that I purchased the full version from Best Buy. Long story short the store bought software will not install because it says there is a previous version. The downloaded version will not let me uninstall from "Control Panel" or from directory. I tried restore points. I tried physicaly deleting the files. The error message when trying to uninstall is "No such file or directory (errno 2)"

Please help!!!!!!!!!!

It is possible that the software is the same. You might just have to enter the serial number from the product you bought in the store. Mine begins with a P2 and lots of numbers. Look under Help and actuate (or something like that, I have a DUtch version).

Thanks Rose, I was able to do that but had to re-install the download version first because it would not open. Ray
