Update Problem with Movie Edit Pro 17 Plus HD

PeterPan8 wrote on 6/16/2011, 9:00 AM

Yesterday, June 15, 2011, I bought Movie Edit Pro 17 Plus, and I tried to install the most recent patch:patch_video_dlx_17_plus_10.0.11.0_int.exe.

About 15% of the install, I received a "Corrupt file..." message.
I have to abort the installation. I tried many times over, to no avail

What should I do?

Thank you for any help or suggestion.

What Windows operating system are you using?

I just downloaded and installed the 152 MB patch for Movie Edit Pro 17 Plus (10.0.11.0) with no problems on a Windows 7 machine.

Thanks for your reply.
I finally managed to make it work, but it was a long and tedious work!
I had to uninstall the whole program, then reinstall it, re-download the patch, install it.
And after more than 2 days of work, the software "seems" to work.
Lo and behold, I can now use MPEG-4 files, and import them from an external drive (which someone said it couldn't be done).

Now I only have to learn how to use it properly... that should take a bit more than 2 days

So, if anyone experienced the same problem... don't despair... maybe just a "simple" uninstall and re-install should do it.  Make sure you have the "Administrator's privilege" on your side to do all this, or you'll be stopped in your track.!

BTW, I have Vista, 3 GB RAM, 4 core processor, and plenty of disk space.

Again, thanks for your response!
