Hi

How many still images are in the sequence, what was the time interval between each when taken?

If I read your times correctly you are displaying each image for 7 seconds, this is too long - for smooth time lapse each image should be displayed for 1 frame (ie 1/25 sec for 25fps PAL or 1/30 sec for NTSC) for smooth playback.

As an example if you wish to compress 1 hour into 1 min you will need 1500 images taken at 2.4 sec intervals to achieve a smooth playback at 25fps.

Hi

I have included you response as this could be useful for others with the same problem.

As you have a single frame for each image you cannot use a transition to move smoothly from one frame to another.  I would try extending each image to 3 frames and set a 1 frame crossfade between each one.  This should at least give a bit smoother change from one image to the next at the cost of possible jerkier movement - experimentation is needed.

Hi John,

let me explain a bit more,

i have approx 130 images of a tent being put up, i have set the time on them to 1/24 of a sec, (24frames per sec is what i am looking for maybe a bit longer.)

The problem i am having is,that each image flashes on the screen, thing of it as being a camera on continous high speed burst, i am trying to get the images to over lap to produce a smoother image so i can get rid of the jitter.

hope you understand this a bit more
