Various MEP 16+ questions

Hi, I'm struggling with some things on Movie Edit PRo 16+

(1) Main question : When I crossfade (overlap) 2 videos on a single channel, As the fade starts the video slightly jumps up, then fades to the next and as the fade stops it jumps down to its original position. I have never seen it do it before but now does it all the time. Is there any reason its happening and not smooth? (It does the same when fading photos)

(2) When I used MEP 15, the videos used to snap together and now they just snap to the timeline marker. Is there a way I can snap the videos?

(3) When I add an audio track, is they a way to auto create wave form instead of manually doing it.

Thanks in advance for any help.

I don't know about questions 1 and 2, but for 3:  go to Program settings.  One of the tabs in there has an option you can turn on or off to automatically create the wave form when bringing audio in.

To answer question (2):-

Highlight the object grid button (the horseshoe magnet shape) in the toolbar just above the timeline.
