Video Deluxe 2026 - Phamtom Audio in movie playback

I have a problem where audit is playing where there is no track for it make it appear like a 'phamtom audio'. There is no audio tied to the track, and in fact I moved all tracks to the right to have nothing at the playback mark and yet the audio continues to come through. I've looked at all tracks and nothng is there. I have tried exporting the movie and creating a new project to no avail. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated!

If you can identify the track that the 'phantom audio' is on, it will be a paler grey as indicated by the yellow arrow in the image below and there appears to be nothing on the track, delete it using the option indicated by the magenta arrow. You may get a warning message that the track contains media.

How did you do this?

if you exported as a video file then the audio will be embedded in it with the rest of the audio.
