Magix has released new versions, VDL 2027 and Video Pro X18.
On the Magix.com site for these, under "What's New," they mention:
Benefit from numerous workflow refinements, bug fixes, and stability improvements inspired by customer feedback.
I would like to know what are the numerous workflow refinements...inspired by customer feedback.
If anyone gets either of these upgrades and can figure out these refinements, please post them here.
Any comments on the other new features?

I have installed the trial of VDL2027 Plus. Of interest is that you now get a choice to keep an existing previous version - it asks. So, I have both VDL2026 and 2027 Plus.
I quickly tested out the new facial recognition feature. Seems to work well depending on the size of the faces. Had trouble with group shots where people were not too close. I needed to read the manual to figure how to use this feature.

The "numerous" could be referring to the bug fixes and stab improvements, you know, one refinement and dozens of bug fixes. 😉
If they have fixed the "backup steals my mouse pointer" bug then I'll be happy.

Bought the Premium version and it installed with no problem - I ticked the keep existing version button (MS2025) however, certainly initially, MS2025 now does not have access to my downloaded Store content; VLD 2027 does.
I've not opened an existing project yet so the mouse grab hasn't showed up. Maybe that's a good sign?
All in all I think it's cleaner / smoother that MS2025 but maybe that's because I've just spent part of my pension on it 😁. The AV1 now exports properly though.
One question for the knowledgable, My purchase included a "free" soundpack - as a zip file. I can obviously open it but what do I do with it then? I've never (knowingly) used them before.

Al, I could be wrong as it all happens so fast BUT I set the auto-save to 1 minute and then didn't touch anything, The Autosave saved.
The I scrolled with the mouse continuously for 3 minutes with no sign of Autosave and as soon as I released the mouse button Autosave saved.
It need more realworld testing bought thought you may be interested.
