Files downloaded from Stock Media are automatically saved under:
drive:\Documents\MAGIX\Video Pro X\MAGIX Content
where Video Pro X could be Video Deluxe or another Magix program.
Under the Import tab under Magix Media, there is a link to Magix Content to access this downloaded content. Everything gets dumped here. If you download a lot of audio files with different genres or moods, or video files of backgrounds, or other subject headings like Drones, Cinematic, Cyber, etc., everything is mixed in this one folder. I made the mistake of not creating subfolders here and moving the downloaded files to their relevant subject, not even separating videos from audio content. I have started doing so and I usually have to search for each name in Stock Media to find out the genre. Some have the genre, like Ambient, in the title, others have the mood. Best to categorize these upon downloading.
I have 400+ downloads available, so since this is included with the program and expires after a certain time, I may as well download as much as I can. Use it or lose it.
That said, I would like to know what others do.
- Do you create subfolders for Magix Content?
- If so, do you create subfolders per Genre or Mood or something else, and if so, what?
- Do you move Magix Content to some other folder structure, and if so, what?
