Hi

You don't and there is no need to worry about the number of cuts MEP uses.

MEP goes through several different stages of 'cut' during creation of a DVD/BD/AVCHD disc, depending on what work has to be done, then the number of cuts varies.

If the source material is, for example mpg for DVD or mp4 for BD  then re-encoding steps may be missed out as they are not necessary.

Thanks johnbaker.

I renamed it and saved as new project and it changed to cut 1 of 6.

if I process using cut 1 of 4 it will not play on the dvd player.

But anyway thanks for your help.

Now I have my grandsons birthday on dvd.
