Why can't I burn. Burn calls for mpeg-2. Prior serial number won't let me into activation

Trying to burn. Burn calls for mpeg-2 codec. Prior serial number entry will not allow me to activate mpeg-2 codec. Please advise. I am having to use the same serial number I used for mpeg-4 activation. (I am still using the same computer.)

Each encoder requires separate activation (found under the help file for most). The MPEG-4 activation code will not unlock the MPEG-2 activation.

Magix Movie Edit Pro, like just about all video editing software do not own the encoders used, therefore they are licensed for use, and I am fairly sure that the activation is a process in which the OEM developer requires registration of the encoder for licensing purposes.

DVD burns require MPEG-2.
