Why can't I hear sound in my project in Movie Edit Pro 2014.

Why can't I hear sound in my project in Movie Edit Pro 2014 even though I can see the sound track in my project and the level meter is moving and the track progresses.

I can hear the sound in the sample movie.

I have an HP Pavillion Laptop with dual core processor  and Windows 8
