Windows Media Centre .wtv format

Can Windows Media Center TV recordings in .wtv format be edited in Movie Edit Pro 17 Plus.

This is now the preferred Windows format, I'm surprised that the latest version of Magix Movie Edit doesn't recognize files in this format.

Unfortunately wtv format files are a Microsoft creation (ie non standard), however it may be possible to convert to .wmv using Windows Live Movie Maker.
