Xara 3D Maker 7 error code -6

"The program could not be started. It's possible that the installation folder is damaged."

What could have caused this and how can I fix it? I have used this program for over a decade and have never had this happen.

Edit: I uninstalled it and have tried reinstalling it, but when the installer tries to download it, it fails and just closes. What do I do now?

Hi

Assuming you are running Windows 11 and it is up to date with the updates, then it is likely that one or more of the recent updates have 'terminated' Xara 3D Maker 7 which was released in 2011.

I am in the same situation with Xara 3D Maker and several other older programs, all with the same error code, 'terminated' after a recent Windows updates which fixed a very large number of security patches.

Check in your account at magix.com to see if the software download available under My Products - mine is not.

. . . . What do I do now? . . . .

That depends on how the 3D titles are being used. In my case I use Blender for creating animated titles, and other video effects, exporting the animation as video to import into Video Pro X.
