Yes, I have done that. Have also uninstalled and reinstalled it, but I don’t think they have included these templates.

@beck3157

They are definitely present in PS Deluxe 2026! (I've just checked on my installation.) I have the latest version, 25.0.1.318, can you check under Help>About... exactly which one you have, please?

Also, I note you say you updated to the 2026 version. Was this by means of purchasing the upgrade? If not, I suspect you actually do not have the full version but just a Trial version, which will not include all the extras which @johnebaker showed in his reply to you.

I just checked and I also have that version, it’s all up to date. I have the full paid 2026 Photstory. I have all the other moving templates, just not the basic zoom in ones. All the the out ones are there though.

@beck3157

Hi,

Make sure that you are looking under fx and not templates.

Have also uninstalled and reinstalled it,

Do not do this unless instructed to do so as a last resort. The effects that you are looking for are installed with the additional content, not the program so uninstalling/reinstalling the program does nothing.

In the image shown by @johnebaker for download and install, you probably already had everything installed with the previous version. You don't install the same stuff again - Magix uses the same folders and content from one version of the program to the next so as not to fill up your hard drive with multiple copies, and so that any effects that you may have saved are still available.

You can check by looking at the same image that @johnebaker showed you by going to Help, Free download. Under Description, you should see that everything has been installed.

You can also check that you have the content at this location:

C:\Users\Public\Documents\MAGIX\Common\Photocontent\Photostory Deluxe\VideoEffects\Move

or something close to it. The effects are under the Move subfolder.

Hi Jeff, John

I installed the trial version of PS 2026 on a clean Windows Virtual machine, it includes all 59 Movement templates which are not in the extra content downloads, the Movie , Slideshow and Disc templates etc are limited .

@beck3157

Hi

Which version of Photostory are the movement icons, shown in your, image above from?

The Zoom in movements shown in your image have different icons, some different names and some of the faster movements are not available..

The icons mimic the direction of the movement eg this icon - Zoom slow + rotation 2

Is a Zoom in rotate right.

You can preview the effects when an image or video clip is slected on the timeline, or Storyboard, as shown below

That picture is from Photostory 2023. I have the effects that you are showing, but I don't need to use the rotation ones for what I do, and the other ones are all zooming out not in.

@beck3157

Hi

Thanks for the info.

I think the Camera/zoom effect may be the better option for what you require.

In the video below you will see me do the following:

  • Adjust the marquee to set the start and end size and positions.
  • Change the start end time to a 2 second pause at each end of the animation
  • At the end of the video you can use the keyframes to custom the start end times, this is how the zoom in was made faster.

I would suggest you test the different settings to see what each option does, the PDF manual available under Help does give some basic advice on this effect p133 - 135.

@johnebaker

Hi John EB,

 it includes all 59 Movement templates which are not in the extra content downloads, the Movie , Slideshow and Disc templates etc are limited .

Interesting that these movement templates are not in the additional content. I guess that this is because they are all simply Size/Position/Rotation effects with keyframes, with no actual other content.

Is the file structure for a clean version like this:

C:\Users\Public\Documents\MAGIX\Common\Photocontent\Photostory Deluxe\VideoEffects\Move

What is interesting about these effects is that they are good examples for those learning how to use keyframes for SPR.

@beck3157

Hi,

I am a bit lost as to exactly what you are trying to do. There are a couple that are simple zoom in effects:

Zoom fast 1 and Zoom slow 1. You can adjust the keyframes to suit, but you have to learn how to do that, I expect.

To go beyond what John EB showed, I suggest that you watch my tutorial on Size/Position/Rotation and keyframing for Movie Studio/Video Deluxe as the Size/Position/Rotation effect is exactly the same as in Photostory.

Here is part 1 of 4:

and part 4:

Part 3 has some examples.
