To the Magix community,

'Welcome to New Mexico ... stranger'. This new music-video is a song that could be called a spaghetti-western but is a glimpse of the place and culture that is my present home here in southwest north America. This is a place with tall mountains and much of it is a high desert terrain. Many old western stories are about early life in New Mexico. You will obviously see the influence of Ennio Morricone who had created many songs of this genre.

In this video I have used a Spaghetti Western theme song from Pixabay and accompanied it with an ensemble of 7 nylon and steel acoustical guitars. Then I embedded this this song into my own song also created using my own studio instruments.

I have some great western images that are a good part of the New Mexico western theme and I provided some of my own images.

I give my appreciation to the digital and sound artists that have contributed to the making of my 'A New Mexico Western Song'.

And towards the end of the song you can visit a small ranch with horses and chickens that are a part of my family.

I hope you enjoy this western theme song and I will offer you some beans and chili the New Mexico way musically.

All the best ...

Mark ;)

Excelente Vídeo Song My Friend Mark. Very Good. I also liked that macaroni dish with calabrese sausage and bacon with ketchup on top. The landscapes are very beautiful, your video is very good, I loved it. This reminds me of some books I read a long time ago, around 1985, in a public library in my city about Mexican indigenous people. But anyway, your video is great. These ranches remind me of my family farms on Marajó Island Brasil Rio Amazonas; they recently sent videos in the family group chat. That dish of beans with chili peppers must be delicious. Keep it up. Hugs. I like Nature and Movies Nature. Congratulations your Music all the best.😎👍🎶💯🎸

The intro sets the tone with wheezy keyboards and delightfully cheesy sounds, straight out of a spaghetti western—hinting at the fun to come. Rhythm is held in reserve while we soak up the stark nature pictures of New Mexico: arid landscapes, home to cowboys whose horses can go where the tin lizzies can’t.

Soon the music shifts into The Good, the Bad and the Ugly territory, with bold guitar lines and swinging accompaniment. The video’s horse imagery fits perfectly, adding charm to the musical ride. Alongside, the nice pics of the cuisine and abodes remind us how different life looks there compared to here—another layer of atmosphere.

Thanks for the satisfying musical depiction of New Mexico, pardner. And watch out for them rattlesnakes!

@Paulo.Costa

Hello Paulo,

Thank you for also sharing photos of your culture, which has similarities to the culture of New Mexico. Some members of my family lived in Brazil for a while. The photos you added in your comment are beautiful, with animals and family. Living in contact with animals and nature is good for the soul. Thank you for liking the video clip!

All the best,

Mark ;)

@Philip-J

Howdy partner Philip!

Your dedicated and thorough comments are always welcome with me! Yes, my beginning in the video does resemble the typical beginning of a western story. Some may be surprised that 'The Good, the Bad, and the Ugly' film as a good example of a spaghetti western was filmed on location mostly in Spain, Italy, and Germany though it was about New Mexico. I can proudly say that my music-video was created and produced right here in New Mexico ;). Most of the imagery is on location here in New Mexico.

The music .. I did use a great piece called 'Spaghetti Western' from Pixabay however I added much of my own music and accompaniment to that piece. Especially the bold guitar accompaniment.

Ahh yes, snakes, lizards, and all the other desert critters do visit me at times at my home here. I have had the experience of having a snake and a scorpion at my door step, just like they were saying 'trick or treat' but I did not know what to feed them - lol

My best wishes to you!

Mark ;)

An excellent Western song, my friend.

With great visuals too; it shows a bit of American life in the countryside.

Well done!💯👍👌

I've always loved spaghetti westerns and the music of Ennio Morricone (I even have his best and most famous pieces on a CD). My mother, who sadly passed away in 2021, and I also loved Mexican, western, Peruvian, and Spanish music.

I adore the Spanish language and studied it for two years as a secondary language in middle school.
I was much better at Spanish and had a good accent than I am at English, where I'm pretty terrible, lol!
Your first piece of music is quite unique, but I like it, and the second one is typical, which I love.
As for the pictures, they're superb, and thank you for everything.
Friendly greetings from Pat.

Hello Pat,

Thank you for enjoying this piece. The southwest north American region, especially New Mexico is a very multicultural world and it all blends together into a very unique place to live. The 'Western culture' in music and stories have impressed people all over the world. My 'A New Mexico Western Song' is my own contribution to the influence of our culture here. It was much fun for me to produce this fun track for the Magix community, that is very international and open to whoever we are, wherever we are to share our own ways of life and ideas ;)

Best wishes,

Mark ;)
