Greetings Magix community,

A year ago I had been on vacation in England and had visited the Greenwich observatory near London as one of my stops in my travels. There were many historical timepieces and instruments for navigation on display. Many of the instruments were clocks for keeping accurate time.

This piece 'Keeping Time' is about keeping time. How could a music piece make a theme of keeping time? I decided to do a mixture of EDM, rock, Eurodance, and techno and I found the sound that seems to work out very well in representing keeping time. Of course in music we keep time in many ways but I found that a combination of beats of the chosen music genres worked together well for my expression of keeping time.

I used primarily Magix loops and I added a few sounds of my own. I recorded the radio signals of WWV live in my own studio, and I came up with a sound that resembles of sound of the 'big ben' clock in London using my a mix of sound made with my Moog and Roland synths and a vst version of the EMT plate reverb. I certainly kept my drummers busy in this music piece keeping time in many ways ;)

I hope you enjoy 'Keeping Time' as much as I enjoyed creating and performing it.
