UPLOADS LIMIT - UPDATE

Hello everyone, after the last couple of years discussing with Magix to restrict uploads to two per day maximum as per users request in the community, to limit such uploads as five a day was too many and overwhelming.

The developers have now adjusted said uploads to two per day maximum in order to create a fair system to all users to get the same recognition of their work.

So this restriction will tie in with the Community Rules Section 4.

Thanks to everyone's previous feedback and support to initiate such a request.

Ps Thanks to Tom CMO at Magix who initiated said adjustment.

Stephen

Hallo zusammen,

Stephen

Two titles are one too many; I’d like better quality ............

@hildegard-beister

So would I Hilde, but there is always a compromise, I even introduced two uploads a day but separated by a two hour timescale rather than both uploaded together, but the other Moderators were against it, including Magix, as said there is always a compromise.

The reason for two a day was to allow users more flexibility that they could upload a photo and video, or a piece of music and video vice versa etc.

It's still a step in the right direction due to the fact it took me nearly three years to have such changes implemented.

All right, Stephen! I only do two uploads a week anyway. 😉

Thanks for the info! 👍 Best regards, Sylvio 😎

Hi Stephen

I agree with @hildegard-beister on this.
Sometimes even two uploads are too many; the quality shouldn't suffer because of it. One audio track and an image are perfectly fine. If you don't have an image, then just one audio track a day is enough.
But then again, it's not really my call.
I’m not exactly a benchmark, though, since I upload very irregularly. Since the start of 2024, I’ve been uploading a maximum of one track per month. That’s partly because I don’t produce that much and I take a lot of time with my tracks.
So, it’s all good as it is.😄

Hi David

From day one at Magixinfo the rules were set in stone of five uploads daily, this was active for many years in the Community, and it took me many discussions and meetings with Magix and other Moderators to adjust said uploads as it was too much each day, I received many messages years ago from the users in the Community that five uploads a day was overkill, so two uploads a day I would say is an acceptable compromise considering what it was before and it was also the final decision of Magix new current upload status.

I agree one upload a day should be the maximum, but if I ask users personally to only upload one a day they complain to Magix and refer to the current Community Rules Section 4.

In other words I have very little authority as a Moderator especially as I am only a volunteer and I do not carry much weight, I simply only have my persuasion skills to work with. 😁

Stephen

Hallo David,

@PATIENT-X

Hi Stephen,

Okay, let's leave it at that, then.
That was just my personal impression of the whole thing.
I thought a moderator would have more authority.
Nevertheless, you're doing a great job here; I think you've got a good handle on things.😄
