Greetings to the Magix community,

Dreams come to us in a non-linear way, that is the dreams can change very quickly and seemingly are not related from one dream to the next. As in music the tempo and pace of the dream experience can vary ... sometimes there are gaps between dreams or one dream can begin before the previous dream is even finished. Do we make up our dreams in our minds or does an angelic messenger help us weave our dreams in a pattern that we might understand.

I give a subtitle to this piece 'sessions' as I plan to eventually have perhaps three versions of this theme in my music. This piece I created, performed, and produce as I was in the process of doing music for some songs in the way music was made in the 70s. I have recently acquired a Euro-rack version of the 'Solina Ensemble' that was a string synth being part of the character of many songs on the 70s when synthesizers were just beginning be heard in popular music. And I woke up my old Ensoniq keyboard and rack synth to play the part of a 60s organ to add to the sound of the era. Other various instruments and sound techniques are done here.

So my little studio depended less on computers, plugging things in the sound chain together as they would in those days. Though I did make some use of some Magix loops that seem to fit the effort and sound that I wanted.

So lets get on with it ;) ... hope you enjoy the sounds that I wish to share with you!

Mark ;)

"Weaving Dreams" (Sessions)

Weaving Dreams is a well crafted sonic experience that perfectly captures the delicate process of drifting in and out of slumber. The piece begins with a steady, immersive synth wash, which acts as a gentle invitation for the listener to settle in and let go of the day’s distractions.

The structure of the track is particularly effective at conveying the fluidity of the subconscious. As the rhythm—built upon expertly layered Magix samples—begins to emerge, it blends seamlessly into other textures, creating the sensation of dreams rising and fading like mist. The way the mix of synths and samples tightens and relaxes is a nice touch; it authentically mimics the rhythmic pulse of tossing and turning, keeping the listener engaged in that borderland between sleep and wakefulness.

I enjoyed the keyboard tones of the '60s and '70s I believe I heard, not being an expert on those sounds.

The journey concludes with a transition that mirrors the climb to consciousness, inviting us to shake off the night, yawn and stretch, and resume the "dream of life." It is a contemplative, well-structured piece that succeeds in being both relaxing and thought-provoking. A creative endeavor well done.

A very well expressed impression of 'Weaving Dreams (sessions)' thanks much Philip ;)

And you captured the idea and meaning of this piece. You felt the sense of relaxing and contemplation mood experience that many music artists had discovered using the then new synth and piano keyboards that came out in the late 60s and the 70s. With this and some of the upcoming tracks I will be doing I will be using studio setups and resources as close as I can to the way music was expressed and recorded during the 70s. I am starting to use my Euro rack version of the Solina Ensemble and the Moog semi modular hardware synths that gives us a very authentic sense 70s style and recording methods. For some cases of 70s sounds I have some closely modeled or sampled vst based instruments such a 1974 Fender Rhodes stage electric piano and a Tapco 4400A reverb rack unit. And more to come. And of course I will be either making music videos or songs that have loops with some Magix based resources that might fit in with the sounds I am making.

My best wishes Philip and thanks for you being just about always there to comment thoroughly on my music ;)

Hi Mark,

Yeah, dreams can be wild and very disjointed.
And when you remember them after waking up, you think, "What kind of nonsense was that?"
I once heard that every face you see in a dream belongs to someone you’ve actually seen somewhere in your life. I’ve dreamt of people who were my friends in the dream, but I didn't recognize their faces—they were complete strangers to me.
When I woke up, I wondered, "Who was that?"

Your music is top-notch again today, my friend.

Great melodies.💯👍👌
