I have always been intrigued by the challenging moral and ethical responsibilities of science and engineering in exploring nature in pursuit of knowledge (which is the greater goal of humanity) and the use of said knowledge to wreak havoc. As a scientist and engineer I have wrestled with the proposition that in our desire to uncover the mysteries of life and the universe we have risked everything and placed our future into the hands of dangerously deluded despots. This is a slightly dark celebration of great intellect, the wonder of physics and it's side effects. Based on a melody from another song derived from a book about Richard Feynman both titled 'What Do You Care What Other People Think'. Invoked with verse lyrics written in Bristol 2003 from one of my songs called 'Add you name to the long list of people who never knew me at all'. Genre: Just another protest song. Reconstructed and reconstituted. JZS Adelaide. 20 March 2016.

Wow I don't know what's cooler, the song or the description of it. It's all very written, imaginative and played out with such a sense of style. Brilliant song man. Excellent, I love it. Sounding great mate.

Another true artist from acidplanet, well John I love your voice and your work with Clay, this has that psychedelic drug induced moment to lie down and look to the sky, your songs are amazing and very original with so much creativeness. This sounds spot on production wise through my phones, you put a smile on my face because acidplanet never really died, its here on Magix to live on amongst us. Thanks for checking out my music.๐Ÿ’ฏ lol I have my own rating, if its awesome it gets the hundred. cheers.

Dear John, One word BRILLIANT, Brother!!!! The originality of your song here is stunning, and the combination of easy listen, pop and classical is extraordinary, my dear friend!!! You know your lyric kind of reminds me of my own song 'The Price of Progress'. As we gain in knowledge and technology we seem to be becoming more hateful to one another, and there are more corruption and lying going on than any time in my life, my dear friend! I truly have never heard a more original song, and fascinating music to go with your lyric which I, unfortunately, can't hear them all, but I know they are very well written because you are not only a master of music but of lyrics as well, my dear friend! Very cool indeed, but to be honest I would not expect any less from your music and passionate performances! This is the music of the future, and Zappa eat your heart out; there's a musical man in town that rivals you and frankly with more heart and soul in your songs, Dear John!!! Long may your music be fertile, and I have a distinct feeling that long after you are no longer here on earth your music will be alive and well, and being heard. VME! Clay Brian Wilson 10,000 Suns and Moons! Thank you for creating and sharing, man! God bless you, my dear, dear friend!:-) UPDATE! John, I love your xylophone harmonies around 1:17, and I love the instrumental sections and some of the modulating going on which is so cool, my dear friend! This is such a grand production, and I love your strings and the classical parts which are so tuneful I was hearing them in my head today while out making deliveries! You are so passionate with great heart and soul in your music and lyrics! You are a genius, man! AMAZING! You are the consummate (ART)ist!

Very cool tune. Love the strings and it's another great pop styled hit. Great vocals and a style all your own. Very cool John.

Dear John,

Re: Fall is Here: WOW! I was listening recently to your collaborative version of "Fall is Here," and one thing struck me that I don't think I mentioned some 7 plus years ago now, my dear friend! The song the way it stops after each verse and throughout the song has a suspended, floating feeling to it just like leaves blowing in an autumn breeze, brother. How cool is that!!! Both instrumental versions and your sung verses feel this way. And I like your lyrics better than mine! The last line you wrote in the chorus with "Will love live on?" tell a more complete story, and frankly, your imagery is more poetic! After beauty dies will love live on. I still pinch myself that someone as amazingly talented and a musical genius actually worked on those songs and gave them such palpable emotion and beauty; not to mention entertainment value! That is brilliant to make the song literally sound like a leaf or leaves in the wind, John! I have included a cool version of the song I did an edit of, John.

Re: Jenilius: This instrumental version is a work of pure artistic genius, brother!!! The piece starts off in a kind of dark and mysterious way with minor chords and then as the piece progresses it becomes lighter. Very intricate and great attention to musical nuance throughout the piece! I love your syncopated strings as a kind of counter-melody to the melody of "Jo-To" in which you vary the melody notes and literally enhance it! Your sense of rhythm and syncopation is brilliant, John!!! Classical music that is created uniquely and with the touch of a master!!! And I can say the same for "Genius." Very cool and energetic! Both of these pieces like "Fall is Here" just don't sound like any other music or song out there, my dear friend! I think Bach did this kind of thing with counter-melodies, but the way you do it here is amazing and brilliant! I only wish the world could hear what you create, John! I don't want to sound immodest because of course some of these collaborations are melodies and lyrics I came up with. But you enhanced them in such a tasteful way and with your full-on arrangements and productions and changes to chords and melody notes that they become far greater than they ever were before!!! I feel inadequate to show the right gratitude for all you created! It sounds like an enormous amount of creative work and loving care went into each song or piece! Thank you, dearest John always! I love ya, man!

Your Friend and Fan Always,

Clay8-) P.S. I tried to email you but both your email addresses came back to me as failure. I really wanted you to read what I say about Fall is Here and Jenilius, my great friend. I hope you and your family are all doing great, and please don't ever stop making great music, brother. Blessings, Clay8-) Long live and God bless your immense talent!!! I echo Bill Fetter's review of this piece as A True Masterpiece!!!
