A couple of questions re TotalFX:

-I like my subtitles to have a solid background but only long enough to cover the text, not go from edge to edge.

Does TotalFX have this ability?

-Also, does it have the classic movie credits scroll where the text is in two columns, the left being right justified and the right, left justified?

Thanks for any input.

@AAProds I've found TP7 really difficult to work with. It causes MEP2022 to become unresponsive when adding any text on my computer.

@Reyfox Yep same here, i just tried it again in MEP Premium, i had to close MEP with Taskmanager.

Hi Al,

Why don't you just use Subtitles Basic/Tickling Center and then adjust the box using Size/Position (then Ctrl+Z if not ungrouped)? I would think that this would be faster and easier than TP7.

For the double column, I was sure that there was one at one time, but it could have been in Pinnacle Studio. You can make your own and save them - left and right.

@AAProds, @browj2

Hi

John - it was Pinnacle and it is not possible to create a double column template (well in my testing)

The quickest method is to use the template as John suggested, or any of the multi lined scrolling templates.

This took less than a minute to setup, could be saved as a MVD file and imported into any project.

BTW - MEP 2022 and VPX13 Size position made it quick to position about the centre line, only need equal values of different 'polarity' eg -980 and 980 for each title object for the Horizontal position.
