Only 1 Audio Track showing in Project

Janis-Circenis schrieb am 21.05.2022 um 17:48 Uhr

Hello.

Yesterday i decided to upgrade my old Movie Studio 15 Platinium to newer version video editing software & i bought Movie Edit Pro Premium. Yeah... :D.

Looks different, but not difficult to understand most of settings.

However one issue i have with my audio tracks. I am recording videos with nVidia shadowplay or OBS in mp4 with multiple audio tracks ( 2 - 6). Movie studio was importing & showing them as separate tracks.

Example

1st Video

2nd Audio ( My microphone )

3nd Audio ( Other sounds from Pc )

So it was easy to edit ( simple way. Cut, louder, quiter & etc.)

In Video Edit Pro 2022 i found how to separate video & audio, but unfortunately showing, playing & editing only one audio track. I also found how to switch to other audio track, but same time other one again is not present anymore. So, can i some way edit multiple audio tracks same time & in the they exports together in 1 audio track how it was in Movie studio 15?

Sorry for my english & thanks for your atention.

This is the German forum.  Please ask your question in the English-speaking forum, you can probably get better help there.

In MAGIX Video deluxe you can place an audio file one below the other in each track and control the sound with a volume track (green line) or with the slider in the middle of the audio object. For example, a music track and below that a voice track. You can lower the volume of the music track exactly at the point where the speech begins and raise it again at the end. And then please look at the track header to see if a track is muted. It should work as before. Try again. Furthermore, MAGIX Video deluxe has powerful audio functions, so you should consult the tutorials.

I ment original audio tracks from recorded video. For example in nVidia shadowplay you can record video with 2 separate audio tracks. On one uou will have your microphone and on other sounds. In old Movie stufio 15 after importing that kind of video was showing up 3 tracks. Video, audio track one ( microphone ), audio track 2 ( other sounds ). In Edit pro only one what you can separate in 1 video & 1audio track, but not 2 audio tracks same time. That is my issue. I can switch between 1st & 2nd audio track, but i am not able to use both of them same time.

Yes, in this case MAGIX works differently than Vegas Movie Studio Platinum, which can handle the NVIDIA ShadowPlay recording format? It works as designed. Unfortunately, I don't have a solution for your problem, but you should be able to see and import the two audio recordings separately from the video recording in some way in the MediaPool. I'm sorry, but maybe another forum user has an idea to help you.

I found answer.

If i understand corectly some years before Magix company bought or something like that, Vegas Movie studio and now it's called " MAGIX Video deluxe ".

It's maybe older information, but i found this information from source:

https://newspacephoto.org/best-sony-vegas-version/

" Both Vegas Pro and Vegas Movie Studio are non-linear video editing software designed to be used on the PC Windows operating system. The major difference between the two of them is simply that the Vegas Movie Studio is a reduced version of Vegas Pro.

For instance, while the Vegas Pro features multi-track audio and video editing on unlimited tracks in real-time, Vegas Movie Studio has a limited number of tracks that you can edit. The features in both are more or less the same. However, Movie Studio has been scaled down. "

So that means my old Vegas Movie Studio 15 Platinium had " multi-track audio and video editing ", but later versions not anymore. I tried Vegas Pro 19 trial version & it has multi-track audio editing in real-time like Vegas Movie Studio 15 Platinium. So will try to upgrade Movie Edit Pro Premium ( MAGIX Video deluxe ) to Vegas Pro.

Thanks anyway!
