Hallo @Can-Dive,

As a Dutch moderator I would like to respond to all your comments. As you may have read somewhere, Magix Germany has changed hands. There is currently a major internal reorganization going on. This has some consequences for us as moderators, just like for you. As a result, we as moderators temporarily no longer have a forum manager who keeps you and us informed about the developments of a program, such as the release of updates, etc. You and all other forum members who own a paid Magix program will automatically receive a message on the screen when an update is released and that an update is ready.

If you then click on the version number next to New version: you will immediately see what this update contains. I always copy this text to my notepad and save it, so that I can always read this information again. As a Dutch moderator I regularly check the German forum and as soon as I see that the Magix Team has posted something on the German forum, I create a General message for the Dutch forum. See: Nieuwe Versie - Video Deluxe 2026 & Video Pro X17 and Nieuwe Patches voor: Video Deluxe 2026 / Video Pro X17

This is how I inform the Dutch users

HTH
Rob (forum moderator)

@Bol

Thank you for responding. I understand and appreciate that the company is going through a transition. For the Forum Moderators, it must be difficult not to have a Magix Forum Manager to provide direction and feedback, but that does not mean the Moderators stop managing the Forum.

There have been a number of requests made by Forum members, including myself, for the English Important Post section to be cleaned up and updated with Feedback Posts for VPX17 and VDL2026. For some reason, this simple request is ignored and I personally do not understand why? To eliminate any misunderstanding or misinterpretation of the request, please see the screenshot below.

If the Moderators do not have Admin rights to update this section; just say so. Then we'll move on.

@Bol, thank you again for taking the time to respond.

Hello @Can-Dive,

You're welcome. For your information. All Magix Moderators are volunteers, who enjoy helping other people with their problems in their own free time, where possible. Have you ever read the community rules? If not, please see the rules from 2021: Community rules & our netiquette | magix.info

I want to leave it at that, because Magix will certainly support us again in the long term. I have complete confidence in that.

Best wishes,
Rob

PS. We as moderators cannot be held responsible if Magix Germany does not respond to your questions. I would say keep trying.

Hi Ray, Can-Dive

. . . . additional signing in if trying to post to the translated page . . . .

I do not do this.

I do the following:

  1. copypaste the text from the comment to Google Translate

  2. in another browser tab enter the reply into Google translate for translation to the OP's language.

  3. as a double check, copy the translation and paste into Google Translate again, in another browser tab, to see what is returned in English.

  4. adjust the reply, and repeat step 3

Note: Avoid colloquialism's and use 'The Queens' English

This is important as some times the translator gets it wrong, resulting in an embarrassing faux pas or worse.

Hi,

It seems that Magix has updated the VPX web site. Still missing videos like in VdL, but there are some under What's new. However, here is an oopsie, I think.

This looks like Samplitude, not VPX. There is nothing to indicate that this is different software. So unless Magix is including Samplitude Music Studio with VPX or has added this feature which is not indicated under What's new, this is misleading.

I also noticed that on the Canadian site, under Version Comparison, the third column top image is missing, so one doesn't know what is being compared.

It shows up correctly in other regions, including French Canada, as VDL 365.

Greetings!

The first image is as shown in your screenshot, "Overview", and in the US webpage, it is exactly the same.

But also, the last column (3rd) is also blank on the US page. Maybe a comparison between VDL and VPX? The first 3 comparisons, if the 3rd column is VDL is a little messed up on how you get more hours of AI Speech to text with VDL than VPX. Same with Text to Speech.

Still, this is the top Magix video editing software. There should be something "video" showing what can be accomplished by using the software.

The video in VDL is something that shows what can be done. Nice!

French Canada version:

It's VDL365 which is why it has more hours than regular VPX.

@browj2 ahhhh..... yes, 365 does have more. I guess Magix will get around to putting that image in the other language websites.

Hi,

Other interesting things and little glitches in the website for VPX17. In the image below, click on "Discover more" and "Learn more." Both go to the Magix.info, but the button for Movie Studio is turned on, whereas it should be at least MMS, Movie Edit Pro and especially Video Pro X. Some of my recent tutorials are featured.

I presume at some point soon Magix will add a button for Video DeLuxe.

Greetings,

With the renaming of the software, I believe that most people, since it is mentioned on the tutorial page, VPX16 and MMS 2025, that they would be similar in editing. But something should be noted of the name change.

As for when you go to the user forum, yes, there should be Video DeLuxe at least a part of the Movie Studio button. You would think that whoever is involved in the web design would check to make sure everything has continuity. That's just basic things that any webpage should be checked for, that the links go to where you want them to go to, and that the links are correct.

But I think it might be some time before you will see Video deluxe (note the lower case of the letter 'd' on the webpages) on the Magix user forum.... Even now, the forum has not been updated to VDL2026/VPX17 in the "Important Posts"....

I was curious about your pic @browj2 so I just had a look on the UK site.

Maybe I missed this in this thread & I'm misreading this ? -

Apart from the names being wrong, VDL title but MMS column headings, I wonder why the comparison discludes the 2 AI effects but includes them in the MMS list?

If they updated the page so the headers said VDL rather than MMS do you think those 2 AI fxs would have a ✘ instead of a ✓

(I know 'disclude' is a non-standard word 😏)
