Getting a good working transition was a bit of an issue in earlier versions so I hoped it would be better in Move Edit (Video Deluxe) Pro 2019 (19.0.2.58 UDP3). But that does not seem to be the case, on the contrary. What I try to achieve and how I do it is as follows:
1 I select 2 scenes
2 I drag a transition effect from Templates on a track below the 2 scenes, starting where I want the A effect to begin and ending where I want the B effect to end. I expect the effect to assign the A effect to the left scene and the B effect to the next scene right from it.
But that rarely works. Instead many effects do not work at all. E.g. from 3D Series Basic I use 3D Pinboard 1 Transition 3. When I add it to the lowermost empty track (track 1=video track 2= audio track 3 is empty there and track 4 is a title) it does gradually move my 1st scene to the "A" space but when the next scene starts it does show the title but instead of the scene I see a big "A". When I move it up 2 tracks, above the title to the empty track I have the same effect but now the big A is displayed in the rights window (where the second scene should be displayed); the left window in the effect keeps showing the left scene, as expected. When I select all scenes (the 2 movie scenes, the title, the effect) the A is no longer displayed but only the title shows from the 2nd half. In general it seems to work differently every time but always erratic.
An effect from the effect transitions Basic (the "Blurry" collection) can be moved to the time line but after releasing the mouse it is no longer there. Only 1 effect I tried (abExplode) is working more or less.
What should I do differently?
