Color issues with process windows

In the past 2 weeks, for some reason my fader lines and meters have turned pink and you can't really see them. Some of the fader buttons are missing as well. It's not on every single one but quite a few. I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling and nothing fixes it. Plus I'm not absolutely sure the uninstall really uninstalls everything. It seems to hold my license number when re installing. So that's odd. Anyone have any idea or have seen this before? It's really getting on my nerves. I'm using Windows 10 from hell 64-bit with Sound Forge Pro 12 64-bit. I'm beginning to think this has come about from a windows update or something. I wouldn't be surprised. Any help would be appreciated. Also, to suggest submitting a ticket, forget it. I tried and got back "Your software is too old. "Buy" a ticket here for support." I've only had it for 11 months... If I keep having issues with this I'm going to have to unfortunately move away from SF and find something that does not seem to be pieced together with bubble gum and paper clips and patches. Sorry for the harshness but I feel that since Sony let this go it seems the quality has deteriorated and the issues have increased. Maybe it's me. SF 8 was rock solid. SF 11 was clunky. 12 is worse. Screenshot attached of what I see. Any ideas or suggestions would be appreciated. I'm out of them.

Look through your 'Display' settings in "Options> Preferences". or you could try resetting them.. individually or globally.

I have no comment on version preferences..

Hi and thanks for the suggestion. Already tried that as well. Most of the settings seem to be for background color and events and such. Not for the elements of the windows themselves. I even tried to work with the settings for the PC. Nothing fixes it there as well. I'm at a loss.

Assuming all other apps appear normal.., uninstall> reinstall SF. I recommend using a third-party uninstaller (like Revo's Uninstall (freeware) which has the option to clean the old SF reg entries that the default Win uninstaller leaves behind.

Thanks for the suggestion. I will try and find something. I'm really wary of anything freeware because in the past I have gotten embedded majorly nasty viruses through recommended freeware on forums like these. Not suggesting that anyone here has nefarious ideas... 😀 But one that was suggested totally destroyed my computer about 6 years ago and I had to replace it as nothing would work on it. The people that I took it to for repair said forget it. On this one I tried the built in SF uninstaller that was added on the start menu during installation that was on it but that didn't work either. If I find something I can trust and it works I will let you know. Thanks again.

@RB43

As someone who uses Revo Uninstaller quite regularly (I actually have the Pro version installed) I can 100% reassure you that the app, including the Free version, is completely free of any nasties!

Thank you for the reassurance on that. I will look into it and let everyone know how it went. It may be a couple of days before I can get to it. Thanks again!

Ok I had a chance to do this today. I want to thank you folks for the help. Keep in mind, this computer doesn't have much on it intentionally and only SF Pro 12 has been installed and used on this, and the machine is not that old so no other previous versions of SF have ever been installed and therefore could not have interfered with it. But the Revo uninstaller finally got it. It took 3 times but it finally removed everything. Here's how it went and what I found: After the first uninstall, I re-installed the software, and it still had my serial number in there unlike a blank field during an initial install. So when I opened the program after the re-install, it loaded the last project I had worked on and the issue was still there. So... I uninstalled it again. Then looked through the Forced Uninstall list it generated. I typed in Sound Forge with no other info. I got a huge list of leftovers. So I deleted. I re-installed. All of the license info was still there and the same project loaded again... So I uninstalled it yet again. Then I ran another Forced Uninstall. Got another list but this time as I scrolled through it I noticed there were other kinds of files there. Long story short, I had to type in Sound Forge, Sound Forge Pro, Sound Forge Pro 12, Sound Forge Pro 12.0, ...(plus Sound Forge Audio Studio 10 and Vegas; the reason for these 2 searches following)... before I got all of it out, as each search would generate a new list of leftover files. But another interesting thing came out of this. As previously mentioned, I found it had elements of Sound Forge Audio Studio 10 (which I have never had) two different Windows SF and SFAS 10 logs that I had to delete, and files related to Vegas software.... So this seems to make me think, as I have, that this program is cobbled together with other elements of past versions of this DAW that everyone has built on as it passed hands it seems, rather than really fixing it or doing a ground up improvement. Hence my sort of negative comment in the initial post. But I may be wrong. I'm not a programmer and don't pretend to understand the reasoning. Just my theory. I also had another problem with the Focusrite ASIO driver in another thread here on the forum. So since I was really choosy in the reinstall, and had deleted some of the sound logs like mapping and included SFAS and Vegas and such and all the other stuff that popped up, that may go away as well. At least I hope it does. If so I'll post there as well. So I'll see how this goes later. Thanks for the help and suggestions. That took a while but now my color is back to the way it should be. Thanks again a bunch everyone.
