Files not loading

I'm not sure what happened but I have this weird issue that I was hoping someone can help me with. When playing a video file on the program, it played in a different tune and was out of sync, but the file itself when played on a player works just fine. But here's what I know.

Lately everytime I start my Movie Edit Pro 2016, these messages keep popping up for what could not be loaded:

DSP_DLL_18_x64_vc12.dll (Graph EQ) (mfc120.dll,mfc120.dll,mfc120.dll,gdiplus.dll not found)

DSP_DLL_14_x64_vc12.dll (Param EQ) (mfc120.dll,mfc120.dll,mfc120.dll,gdiplus.dll not found)

DSP_DLL_03_x64_vc12.dll (MB Stereo Enhancer) (mfc120.dll,mfc120.dll,mfc120.dll,gdiplus.dll not found)

DSP_DLL_33_x64_vc12.dll (Maximizer) (mfc120.dll,mfc120.dll,mfc120.dll,gdiplus.dll not found)

DSP_DLL_21_x64_vc12.dll (Reverb) (mfc120.dll,mfc120.dll,mfc120.dll,gdiplus.dll not found)

DSP_DLL_20_x64_vc12.dll (Echo/Delay) (mfc120.dll,mfc120.dll,mfc120.dll,gdiplus.dll not found)

Internal DSP error: Effect "Echo" will be ignored

DSP_DLL_24_x64_vc12.dll (Analyzer) (mfc120.dll,mfc120.dll,mfc120.dll,gdiplus.dll not found)

Any idea on what can be done to fix this?

Hi

Did you download and install the second part of the program? See under Help, Install extra content.

If you did try reinstalling the extra content again

The second part contains more effects, templates, transitions etc.

@John EB, I see where you're coming from with your reply but ALL those dlls listed as missing in the OP's post are part of the audio effects. If he/she had not actually downloaded that extra content surely a whole lot more would be listed as missing? Or, perhaps, nothing would be listed since MEP would not "know" the extra content was "missing"?

Hence, your advice to reinstall the extra content! But I guess that presupposes that all those audio effects are part of the "extra content" and not of the core program?

And if, perchance, a check on the "Install extra content" screen lists everything as present, how would you go about the reinstallation? Can you force MEP to redownload and reinstall?

Interesting one!

Hi,

I would like to know what kind of file that does that. What kind is it and what is the source - camera (kind), download, export from program, etc.

@Jeff

As for the extra content, good question. I have never tried to download the files a second time once the program indicated that all were installed, and I kept all of the files. Hopefully, one will have kept the downloaded files and then can just execute them and do a repair. Alternatively, install on another computer and download and save all of the files.

I'm away from home so I can't check, and all of the installations on my Surface Pro were done using previously downloaded files from my desktop.

I tried that but nothing, I updated my program just to be safe but those errors STILL show up everytime I start it up.

It was a downloaded file. The weird thing is that it was just the one file that has that problem, every other file I use in it had no problem. But it was just the one.

Hi

@ Jeff and John CB

Yes you can force MEP (and MMM, VPX, PS etc) to download and install the extra content again - one of 3 things will happen depending on:

  1. if you did not check the option to leave files in the install folder - all extra content will be downloaded and re-installed.

  2. if you checked the option to leave files in the install folder and there are no new additional content or update - the existing downloaded files will be checked and then re-installed.

  3. if you checked the option to leave files in the install folder and there is new additional content or an update - the existing downloaded files will be checked, the new content or updated content will be downloaded and then all will be re-installed.

. . . . It was a downloaded file. The weird thing is that it was just the one file that has that problem, every other file I use in it had no problem . . . .

That would suggest the file content is not what MEP was expecting - use MediaInfo to analyse the file and post the results from the Tree view - you will need to Export them (option is under File) to a text file first.

Ok, it looks like its MORE than just the one video file I mentioned, it seems to happen to others as well now. Starting with the one where I noticed this problem began, these pop up now:

DSP_DLL_15_x64_vc12.dll (Invisible Resample) (mfc120.dll,mfc120.dll,mfc120.dll,gdiplus.dll not found)

DSP_DLL_15_x64_vc12.dll (ElasticAudio) (mfc120.dll,mfc120.dll,mfc120.dll,gdiplus.dll not found)

DSP_DLL_15_x64_vc12.dll (Tempo-Pitch/Resample) (mfc120.dll,mfc120.dll,mfc120.dll,gdiplus.dll not found)

DSP_DLL_08_x64_vc12.dll (Denoiser/DEHISSER/FTT Filter) (mfc120.dll,mfc120.dll,mfc120.dll,gdiplus.dll not found)

DSP_DLL_22_x64_vc12.dll (Filter) (mfc120.dll,mfc120.dll,mfc120.dll,gdiplus.dll not found)

DSP_DLL_23_x64_vc12.dll (Distortion) (mfc120.dll,mfc120.dll,mfc120.dll,gdiplus.dll not found)

DSP_DLL_24_x64_vc12.dll (Object Volume) (mfc120.dll,mfc120.dll,mfc120.dll,gdiplus.dll not found)

I didn't even delete anything when redownloading the files and updating my program, what happened?!

PROBLEM SOLVED!

Its funny how I can learn to master it but still need to learn more about it, I just went to the installationmanager icon in my program's folder, clicked the repair button, then after re-registering myself with the same info, it works like new again!
