Me too.

I do get this weird thing happening to me as well. What I do is ungroup the video/sound, shift the sound back and group it again. Takes hell of a long time to completely correct it (some of my movies have 30 video clips). Otherwise, if it gets too many to do, I just go get the backup project and hope that the last auto-backup has my latest edits before that weird ****.

Hi,

There are a few ways to make the adjustment:

1. This one may fix the problem right away - right-click on the video/audio object and select "Create (new) frame table."

2. If you can identify where the sound starts to go out of sync, cut the object. Then right-click on the video or audio part (I have Video/Audio on one track in the Program Settings off by default - I always want to see both parts) and select "Set audio-video offset." You can now fine-tune the adjustment between the video and audio without ungrouping them.

3. Do as @wongck indicated.

4. If the speed is different between the audio and video, then use the stretch mode to make a fine adjustment of one or the other. This normally assumes that the audio and the video come from different sources as in my case. I have been digitizing Super 8 Sound film. This is done frame-by-frame without the audio. Then I run the film through my projector and capture the sound. In MEP/VPX, I import both parts and try to line up the audio with the video (I have another trick that I use). The digitizer creates a video at 20 fps which I change to 18 fps in MEP/VPX. However, the projector is likely not running exactly at 18 fps, thus the audio is slightly off. To correct this, I use the stretch mode to adjust the length of the audio, which automatically adjusts the speed. I may have to make several cuts and adjust by sections. There is more to it, but that is enough for now.

Thank you for your quick help, but I tried and nothing. The point is that in the middle of the movie the same episode of sound repeated on the next track and the rest of the sound in subsequent frames moved about 2 seconds further. Although I cut out a piece of film, but the voice (sound) was continued. The example, there should be in this film : see what a beautiful tree, how many flowers it has, etc. And now the situation is: See what a beautiful tree, see what a beautiful tree, how many flowers it has. So by repeating this verse - see what a beautiful tree , the next text in this film moved further:. how many flowers it has - this text is already under the next, different image and everything moved further to the end of the movie

What wrong with the word "weird shift" to denote the unwanted shifting??

Unfortunately, the word as it appeared in your post was NOT "shifting", but rather a 4 letter word that has the same first two letters.

I'm sorry, but no one understood what I mean because what you proposed did not help me. I work on Movie Edit Pro Premium. I made a movie - time: 1.30 min. I gave subtitles, music, effects, photos, etc. After assembly I noticed that in the middle of the movie the same sound was repeated from the last frame in the next one, which caused further that the sound is not compatible with the image of the frame. It's funny because the image displays something different and the sound also something else with a delay. No compatibility. I separated the sound from the image and nothing, I cut out a fragment of the film to continue working from the removed place , but unfortunately there is a sound although there is no soundtrack. I do not know where the sound comes from, when I've removed everything. I think I should  reinstalling the program and re-work again , only a pity of my time because I would have to create a movie from the beginning. Forgive me, but it is difficult to describe.

browj2 wrote on 2/3/2019, 11:34 AM

We still can't see your screen.

Did you try expanding the timeline to full screen (little button at the upper right of the Project (timeline) Window) and scrolling downwards, vertically, to higher numbered tracks to make sure that there is no audio object or any other object on higher numbered tracks?

Upload the program? Please, in English, uploading means that you are sending something from your computer to somewhere else, like uploading a video from your computer to YouTube. Downloading means getting something from somewhere else and bringing it onto your computer, like downloading a program from the Magix site. Installing means installing (or reinstalling) a program that you have downloaded onto your computer.

I doubt that reinstalling the program will help. You have done something to cause the problem and you need to find out what. Do what I indicated above and report back. Let us know if you don't know how to do this.

You have it wrong. All audio tracks not muted will play. All overlapping soundtracks will play together at once.

You either need to delete the offending audio clips or control the output by automating the sound mixer.

Yes, there is audio! Look at track 1. Look at my first post, item 2. I always have audio and video on separate tracks. You have video and audio combined on track 1; I can see the waveform. If you want to turn off the audio, drag the lower middle handle of the object, that is, the audio part, down until it says off.

Better still, go to File, Program settings, Video/Audio tab and uncheck "Video/Audio on one track" For now, select the video object, right-click, Audio functions, Video/Audio on separate tracks, or use the shortcut Ctrl+H. Now you'll clearly see the audio part on track 2.

Lastly, we do not take photos to post screen shots. Learn how to do this. Use Alt+PrtScr (it's on the top row of your keyboard). This takes a screen shot and puts it in the clipboard. Go to a graphics program or Word and paste (Ctrl+V). Resize the image and export it as a jpg file. You can annotate it first. Use the upload button at the top of the message window in this forum to select and insert your image.

dpewit wrote on 2/4/2019, 11:35 AM

I know how to turn down the sound. The sound from the middle of the film repeats to the end of this film, the sound doubled. For example, someone says: I see an elephant and a tiger and this is repeated, after this further conversation: the elephant is behind the tree and again it repeats , etc.

CubeAce wrote on 2/4/2019, 3:27 PM

@dpewit

Try opening the sound mixer and see how many tracks are adding audio. You can then track the offending audio from there.

Hi

. . . . Why does my film during playback slow down or skip although I've selected a proxy? . . . .

Depending on your computer specification, what effects, transitions and/or collages are applied and other programs running on your PC at the same time, the computer may not be able to keep up with rendering in real time so is slows down/skips.

While this may be disconcerting when you export or burn to disc the video will give smooth playback.

. . . . if I give music to the film, music on some tracks is weakly or not audible at all. What is this caused? . . . .

This usually happens when the audio files have different recorded signal levels - you can use the Normalize audio function to bring them up to the maximum level and then control the volume to the level you want by several different means - I would suggest you read the installed PDF manual sections relating to audio.

In severe cases where Normalisation does not help, you may have to use an audio editing program to adjust the level.
