when entering the licence number - five groups of five digits - the form creates a minus "-" automatically after the first digit instead of a minus after the first five digits. then the licence number is detected as false. What a mess!

@WhyB Sound Forge went from Magix to BorisFX at the beginning of April. Maybe check out the demo version of Sound Forge 2026. I assume that BorisFX will start to bugfix a lot of the old annoying bugs introduced over the last couple of versions.

@NickHarvey It might be easier to install the demo version of Sound Forge Pro 18 and use the audio_plugin_scan_server exe files from that. It's newer than Acid 11 and it is made by the same developer team.

@patrick-miossec Hi Assuming the serial number you have for the demo/trial version begins with TRIALC- followed the groups of digits, copy the whole serial number including the TRIALC- prefix and paste this into the activation dialog. John EBForum

@Myu I think ARA is broken in SF16. I had the same experience. You can try the following: install the free demo version of SF18 and copy and paste and overwrite the following files from the SF18 folder into the SF16

@raquii You could try two things. Firstly, hold CTRL and SHIFT and double click on Acid to start the program. Keep holding CTRL and SHIFT until a small window appears that will all you to reset the program settings. Do this and then check if Acid
