  @Patricia-Stuart How old is it? If it was released before 2008 I don't think the copy protection is compatible with modern Windows 11 and won't recognize the original CD.

  Thanks for the advice, but unfortunately the driver update did not work. My capture device is not red or white, just black with the Magix name on it & with the 4 cables attached with the yellow, white, red & black pins. In the device manager

  @jonathan-m It seems that the actual software for the video capture/conversion will not install unless the capture device itself isn't properly installed with the correct drivers.  No extra software is needed. You only need the grabber installed via
