[Solved] Import h265 files from iPhone
Hi, I have MEP2022 and am trying to import h265 files from my iPhone. At first, the programme asked me to purchase and activate the [HEVC Codec Upgrade (H265 Intel)] codec. So I purchased and activated this codec. Unfortunately, when I try to import

@Gid Hi Gid . . . . I got an iPhone HEIF from a friend, he has the latest updates on his phone. . . . Thanks for the iPhone image, the EXIF data shows this to be from an iPhone 13 mini. The MediaInfo data is very different, as you can see

RE: Upon importing my photos, they turn to black and white or all black
My computer opens ALL the files fine. My husband's iPhone (iPhone 12 mini) is a bit older than mine and his HEIC files show up fine in MAGIX. My HEIC files (from my new iPhone 16 Pro) do not appear or are black and white in the MAGIX program. I

@Iris-Willis Hi . . . . iPhone 16 Pro . . . I think it's a glitch with MAGIX. I guess I'll convert my files to jpg . . . Definitely not a glitch in the program, a quick search of the Internet brings up many posts about the iPhone 16 HEIC format

    Photo files
I now use an iphone 15 photos and they have an extension ".HEIC." HEIC does not seem to work in Photostory. It loads into photostory but doesn't open the files. Is there an update to Photostory or another fix for this?

I have an iPhone. I've already put the pics and videos on my desktop and I'm getting ready to make a movie. Maybe the next time, I'll take pics with jpegs.

RE: What Apple format: Apple ProRes or HEVC codecs can Movie Studio run?
@Gid Yup my iPhone files will at times send my Magix into a weird, spastic save bar when I save a project. I hate to have to rely on anything Apple as I was around when the Macintosh made graphic design a whole lot better, but everything was too

RE: Import h265 files from iPhone
@magix_dr That's odd. All the recent versions have handled HEVC/H265 from iphones OK for me. Could you host one of your files on a hosting such as Google Drive (enable sharing), Dropbox or similar? Then we can check out the exact file. The Magix

@Bol sigh, another codec issue? It looks like there may be more issues than I had counted on w/ ProRes .MOV format. I'd read that iMovie can run the ProRes files, so another 'last resort' way I could at least use the video, but I just did a few

@Robertr238 Hi HEIC is not a supported format. The images need to be convverted to a supported format eg JPG. The iPhone should have an app already installed or available from the Apple store for the conversion and possible colour

For this very reason, because only very few programs support ProRes RAW, @Tusk has to be very careful about what recording format he uses. When he takes his Video with IPHONES.

Hi CubeAce. Yes it is an HEIC file from a new iPhone, however my husband's phone also had HEIC files and I never had any issues with that previously. EDIT: in fact this one particular photo was taken on my husband's phone.....never had issues before

Hello all, Thanks for the list of what runs ProRes, at least I know not to even try, being a videographer w/ limited $$. I apologize for being very tech inadequate, after a while the verbiage just goes over my head, so I'm left to 'trial and error'

Hi, I just bought a iPhone 16 Pro for the explicit reason it seems to take much better concert videos than the pre 1phone 15 pro iterations. I've seen some examples of videos taken in 4k 120 which are impressive. Also because Apple has been forced

I notice in your first image it says the image is HIEC. That is slightly different from HEIF which I know is supported at least in the latest versions of the program but If the encoding is different it is probably an unsupported image format. Is the
