RE: Why Chromma key - gives additional collours on video ? Why
I tried using transparency. The difficulty arose in that the entire image becomes dark, depending on the transparency percentage, of course. Anyway, I'll go through the video using the technique you suggested. Thanks Ray. I achieved this result by

@idd-2016 I assume from your comment that you are testing with the trial version of VDL 2026 before purchase. Drop shadows - there is no in program native function that can do this. There are several methods the simplest is to add the drop shadow

@Steve-Jones3743 Hi . . . . I drew the heart in Photoshop then converted it because I wanted transparency.  . . . . I’ll have to try something else I think . . . . I have found using PNG, it also supports transparency, is better format to work with

RE: .mov file is disappearing over time
My comment - I don't see Chroma key on the main nest, Chroma Key that is applied in the nested sequence might not transfer through to the main nest? ie it might not come through as an object with transparency, I've no experience with VPX in these

@Joshua-Burner Hi . . . . .  imported a .mov with transparency into my project . . . . Is the MOV video file video encoded in the PNG format, or has a seperate Alpha channel and is Quicktime for Windows installed? . . . . It stops working properly

@CubeAce 👍 @Joshua-Burner I was just trying to work out what you've done, If this file has already got transparency & then you've added Chroma Key that might mess with that files alpha channel. I don't see Chroma key on the main nest, Chroma

RE: Insanely stupid question - Graphic overlay
Thanks. I did the red box trick and it worked. I am still concerned as to why transparent png files don't work. We have lots of logos that have transparent backgrounds and this was a simple test. QUESTION: Does the older version (CS5.5 of photoshop

Gid, no. It is just a transparent GIF that I wanted to be able to zoom in and out of with an image behind it. Though i have been thinking of putting a suitable image within the heart.

@badbob Hi. It would seem HDR Blur is no longer available in the newer version of MMS but that may not be your complete problem. Try lowering the transparency of the clip before adjusting the brightness / contrast / gama controls and don't use the

RE: .mov file is disappearing over time
@johnebaker Hi, with respect, showing that any keying fx can be applied to a .mov with transparency in VP without problems is very relevant, it shows that this isn't a common or expected problem & that it is solely a VPX/MMS problem.
