  @scott-james Audacity doesn't support ASIO as far as I know, because it is distributed under an incompatible license. It's odd that it works fine with your setup while SF Pro 18 doesn't. Just in case, do you maybe have the Magix Low Latency ASIO

  SOLUTION: Go to settings and Change video mode to Alterante mode 2 (Video Mixing Renderer 9). With that MVD does not overload the RAM and crash all the time. Also turn of hardware acceleration for exporting.

  fixed the crashing problem and changing Options> Preferences> Internal> ("Activate legacy MP3 plug-in" (Change FALSE to TRUE) seems to have fixed the issue of saving as/to mp3 files. We'll see how it goes and I'll report back.

  @SteveMTNO You can find reports for crashes that aren't caught by Sound Forge in the Windows Reliability Monitor. Maybe there is something different. A driver problem would likely cause a crash in ntdll. I'm not sure why it crashes in comctl32.

  I changed the buffering setting to 10ms, and then all the way up to 20ms. Didn't make any difference. Still crashes..

  it's a i7-11800H 11th gen, 2.3ghz. I've also tried letting it encode on the primary monitor (there's 3) as MS has had issues in the past if it's on the 2nd LCD (my largest, widest LCD) and the PC goes into screen lock, MS crashes.
