  Hi James, Sorry about the slight, but your question did not demonstrate to me your 15 years in Samplitude, and I think that my answer concurs with your question. Now that you have explained it better, basically, you have to make your own patterns.

  What's the deal with Beatbox 2 and the other Syths missing?
  Why are these gone from 2017? This is no good. They should have been expanded to be more capable, like a mix between what they were with more options like the MIDI editor. Instead they're gone?!

  Just got MMM 2017 Premium and not at all happy : Beatbox 2 Plus, Robota and Loop Designer are missing. But I'm writing about Vita Sampler. The synth won't load any of the samples I'll offer it :/. It keeps saying "Cannot import audio file.
