RE: The output formats are messed up in Movie Studio 2024
The problem with aspect ratio is that there are 2 definitions for it. One definition relies on the number of pixels horizontally and vertically. The other is the display aspect ratio which tells subsequent programs how to display the particular

    RE: Video zoom function unusable
@DuneElliot There were/are issues with Camera/Zoomshot and Section; they were basically a mess, but have been fixed up mostly. The only problem I can see now is that for CZS, you have to deselect any object with the effect otherwise the it will be

    RE: unable to enter
@Jesse-Minkert There is likely a hidden error message behind the splash screen. Some users already had this problem but weren't able to read what the error message is about. So we also don't know. It might have to do with an incorrect screen

@clement5 Setting 4:3 should just compress the output horizontally while keeping the vertical at 480 to have a realistic picture. Never! should a program automatically squash a too-wide video into the selected frame size. You can use your TV remote

RE: The output formats are messed up in Movie Studio 2024
=== The PAR has nothing to do with how the video is supposed to be displayed. For example a captured AVI of 720x480 is supposed to be displayed in a 4:3 frame. An AVI of 720x576 is also supposed to be displayed in a 4:3 frame, not a 5:4

These are a continuation about ongoing problems for many years plus some bad ones as of the last update. 1.  When exporting a standard NTSC video with frame rate 24000/1001the resulting AVI has rate 23976/1000 and does not line up on the timeline

Sorry please ignore that. Just realised that the .avi isn’t a format recognised by my tv and besides I don’t think there’s much in it quality-wise anyway, so I will stick with the helpful advice already offered.

@mikerb Hi Mike, Since you filmed at 50fps, I suggest that you use that for your project and export settings. 2.7k is not an option, so go with 1080. This allows you to do some cropping, especially that done by a stabilizer like Mercalli, without

@clement5 The imported file does not have the correct displayed aspect ratio.  This is a new error in 2023/2024 versions of MS.  Since an AVI does not have aspect ratio information MS should assume the same aspect ratio as the movie project NOT the
