Hi, There is a lot to learn. Start by watching the tutorial about Getting Started in MEP, it's the first one under the Tutorials tab. 25fps is for PAL - Europe, 29.97 is for NTSC - North America. Where are you located?

Hi, See this tutorial first, look in the manual about how to hook up a mic (also look in other tutorials available here) and set up the recording parameters. Then come back with better information as to what you need if you can't get it to work.
