RE: over takesover take
Ah yes... over take: 1 a: to catch up with b: to catch up with and pass by 2: to come upon suddenly over take is sometimes used in reference to over dubbing. Over dubbing is a technique used by recording studios to add a supplementary recorded

Hi, Just browse to them in the file manager at the bottom and drag them into your track. Justin

RE: How do I make my MIDI keyboard controller keys match those on the program?
Ok - if memory serves that's a silver one right? That is a midi controller and Magix is a little touchy with those. The best thing to do is load a Midi instrument - a .vst plug-in would work well here. Then try to play the keyboard through the

RE: How do I make my MIDI keyboard controller keys match those on the program?
??? You can't play MIDI "through" your PD-70??? I must be confusing yours with another of that era. I thought the PD-70 was similar to the U-20 and is more like a synth than a MIDI controller. Is yours a 90's era keyboard? In the Windows control

RE: Playback while recording?
Hi, On your record window there is a check box that says Playback While Recording. Check that and you should be good to go. You wouldn't even know it was there. If that doesn't help then click the REC button on the left side (icon area) of the

RE: need help recording my guitar over drum tracks
Hi, Grab the very bottom right handle of your drum track and drag it to the right. It will create a loop for as long as you stretch the drums out. Let go and record. Justin

RE: How do I make my MIDI keyboard controller keys match those on the program?
Hi again, If you choose settings from the file menu and get to the playback parameters (where you choose your audio driver) there is an area to select your MIDI device. Sounds like you may have already done this. Next, go to Windows sound applet

RE: When arranging multiple drum entries into an arrangement, the drums turn into piano keystrokes.
Hi, I assume your drum tracks are MIDI... make sure your MIDI channel is not changing when you drag the track. Drums are usually channel 16 - check your midi channel on the good track, drag it down and make sure it's the same. Justin

RE: How do I make my MIDI keyboard controller keys match those on the program?
Hi Sebastian, First... ASIO has nothing to do with MIDI - you can change those until you're blue in the face. They won't help your MIDI problems. The channel will dramatically affect your MIDI - 16 is usually reserved for MIDI drum tracks but

RE: i purchased magix music maker 12 a year ago and I was wondering if there is a upgrade cost?
Hi, There isn't really any discount like that. Magix software is already much much less than other products in its class. The best thing to do is purchase the download version of the product - it's a little less. Keep in mind that MM12 is the

RE: [Closed] Cannot view any slideshow etc...
That's a bummer! So many computer "pros" today are un-certified tinkerers and have no business servicing other peoples machines. First thing I would do is re-install Magix; it seems that a file Magix was dependant on has been changed. By

RE: Music Maker Producers Edition?
Hang in there buddy - they are really dropping the ball over at Magix. This has been getting worse. I would send a message to every contact link on their site - you'll eventually get someone. This is a group of users so we can't help you much -

Hi, If you're changing hard drives I don't think export is your best option. Export will essentially mix down your songs to whatever format; making it impossible to separate and continue working later. Your best bet is to copy the entire

Hi, You sure can - with some stipulations of course. You MUST have a midi capable sound interface (either sound card or recording interface) AND you MUST use ASIO drivers for your interface. That is the software's requirements. Next is

RE: Song Length?
Hi, Make sure that your start and end markers at the top 'ruler' bar are set accordingly. You can "fit" the entire song which will not only size the arrangement to the screen but re-set the start and stop markers. Justin

Are you using Magix samples? That might be your hang up - I know newer versions give you this freedom but I'm not sure about 2003. Justin

RE: Mixdown Selected tracks only in MMM14PE

RE: noise from connection in michrophone and headphones
