RE: Burn DVD
Hi, welcome to the Magix forums. First, it seems you did not select the option to burn your project to DVD from within Photostory but rather to export the files, apparently to your hard disc. Is that correct? If so, why? The direct route of

RE: Magix software splits my video into 2 seperate files when I export!!!
Just one further thought, following from you wrote and John EB's comments on not using the Export to Device feature: You say your exported file is 1.3GB in total, but becomes two files, one running for 10:30 and one for 1:30. Taking John's comments

RE: Trying to, but unable to re-edit film footage already burned to disc.
Hi. Did you retain on your computer the original unedited (raw) video files from which you made your final version, not just the .mvp project file? When you re-open the project, do you see a message that MEP is unable to find some or all of the

menu encoding failed - MEP 2018
Hello, I have a sudden issue with the menu encoding on MEP 2018. Its on my laptop and every other DVD I have edited and rendered has been perfect, up until this one. Its nothing technical video wise, mainly just 1 camera with fades and titles during

RE: New fact regarding DVDs, Win10, VPX
Hi Greg WMP cannot play VOBs because it does not recognise the file .VOB extension, however if you change the file extension to .MPG it will play them. This kind of defeats the object of testing the DVD as it also does not recognise the menu system.

RE: New fact regarding DVDs, Win10, VPX
Hi I would test it on my PC using VCL (WIN10 has no media center) Do you mean Win 10 can not play an MPEG2 or .VOB (DVD File) via Windows media player? This is because Microsoft took the MPEG2 codec out of Win10, but you can now download the codec

Rendering
I render projects straight to dvd but on big avi files it takes a very long time. Is there a faster way to render to a file type using the Nvidia GPU (1070 in my case) and then have that go to .vob for the dvd to cut the time (computer running 32gig

Once your files are in the timeline you simply choose the Burn screen. If Smart Render or Smart Copy can be used it will be an option on the Encoder Settings screen. See my screenshot below: This is a screenshot taken in VPX, using a file that

RE: How to re-render MPEG-2 files without losing any quality
Hi, there is no value whatsoever in first exporting the DVD (MPEG-2) files to uncompressed AVI and then reconverting them to MPEG-2 for your new DVD. Indeed, that route is highly liable to lead to a loss of quality in the final export. By

Hi Jeff That VOB has an impossibilty - the Video bit rate at 21.8 Mb/s is greater than the Maximum bit rate of 1 184 kb/s (1.184 Mb/s). The width at 352 px means the video is a Half Horizontal Resolution (Half D1) format to save on disc space. I
