2013 version won't burn a dvd anymore
I have an older 2013 version that my daughter spent 3 hrs on a movie presentation that we cannot get to burn onto a DVD. We keep getting a message: MPEG-4 does not register. Plus, using the "activation" codes do not work after going through the

Here's an update: After re-installing, I turned the ransomware-protection in Defender back on, as was suggested. However, I still could not save any edits. When I turn the protection "off" the "save" problem disappears. This only started happening

@Richard-hardy I have looked at (quickly) all of your posts and all seem to be about exporting. As you have been told, just use the presets, don't mess around with bit rates and other stuff. I spend hours and hours editing videos and audio (and

RE: MEP error messages
Hi. Where, in the world, are you? I ask because "Standard" DVD export is either 720 x 480 (NTSC) or 720 x 576 (PAL). Your format of 704 x 576 is one I have never come across before and may be the reason that MEP is unable to use Smart Render/Smart

MEP error messages
I was preparing to burn some videos to DVD in MEP, but came across some error messages that I’ve never seen before. The video files are VOB’s, and the resolution is 704x576. I hadn’t touched the videos in the timeline, no trims or edits or anything.

RE: burning DVD - not recognized by DVD player
The problem I had burning the DVD was because the default encoder setting was not appropriate for customers in th US. Programs sold to customers in the US should have a different default for the encoder setting. It is quite upsetting to spend a lot

RE: CBR vs VBR
@jak.willis Personally, I would have to agree with Jeff. DVDs have a maximum resolution of 720x576 pixels if using the PAL system, which is at best only 19% that of an HD TV screen at 1920x1080 if you include the lack of bit depth of the tonal range
