RE: Any Adjustment Needed For New GForce GT710 1GB Video Card?
Hello again johnbaker and thanks for the update - as I mentioned since H264 has been around since at least 2008, I just assumed MEP15 would already have H264? Take a look at this WONDERFUL project!

RE: Any Adjustment Needed For New GForce GT710 1GB Video Card?
@CarpentersMate Hi . . . . I'll still need Wondershare for speedy stable conversion but I'll export to VOB with native resolution . . . . Conversion should not be necessary, MEP15 can handle VOBS directly, if they do cause a slight issue, change

RE: Any Adjustment Needed For New GForce GT710 1GB Video Card?
Hi again Scenestealer I want to thank you for all your help. Unless you see other alternatives (improvements), I found a 'work-around' as long as I'm working with VOB's: I can import and edit in MEP15 adding music and sound effects with mimimum

RE: Any Adjustment Needed For New GForce GT710 1GB Video Card?
Hi I think you misunderstood - External drives can be bottle necks so don't change! OK, so you said SD, but 720(P?) is actually classified as HD just not Full HD. As far as I can remember MEP15 was not optimised for HD. Thanks for the Additional

RE: Any Adjustment Needed For New GForce GT710 1GB Video Card?
Hi Scenestealer - No No (no USB here) :) I have a 1TB system drive (currently more than adequate). I could switch over to an external 1TB drive but for now would rather not since I'd probably have to RECONNECT all the media ...I'm working with VOB

RE: Any Adjustment Needed For New GForce GT710 1GB Video Card?
@CarpentersMate Hi . . . . there was a setting "somewhere" to allow reduced resolution playback . . . . Based on MEP 14 - I managed to install this on my old Win 10 PC a few days ago - there may be an option in Programs settings, Video/audio tab on

RE: Any Adjustment Needed For New GForce GT710 1GB Video Card?
@CarpentersMate @CubeAce The lightning flash symbol was introduced in a later version of MEP than 15, which is now rather old! I don't have any of the older versions on this machine so can't check this but there was a setting "somewhere" to allow

RE: Any Adjustment Needed For New GForce GT710 1GB Video Card?
Hi Cube Ace Nice to see you! And thanx for tying to help. Unfortunately I don't have that option (the lightening flash symbol) in MEP15. The HD is a typical 1TB WD 7200 RPM. I'm thinking it could also be my processor rated: i3-2120 CPU 3.30 Ghz?

Which Sound Format is Best? Wav?? Aiff?
Hi Gang I'm using MEP 15 (creating a sound stage) containing vintage WWII footage. The footage shows: equipment, aircraft, vehicles etc. I realize Edit Pro will mix down accordingly but using so many different sound effects why not keep it

RE: Missing-Wrong Codec - "No video with supported format and mime"
Ok - Ok 'I get it' - This is an old horse which has been beaten before. Unless I'm wrong I've surmised Magix (for whatever reason) just never provided H264 codec until later developing Magix Video Pro X. I've read the other comments which dismissed

Missing-Wrong Codec - "No video with supported format and mime"
Hi Gang I was previously using 'Wondershare' for simple conversions on my Windows PC. The Codec setting options in Wondershare and FCP for a QT Movie File implement H264,AAC Video Encoder and 44.1 khz AAC for Audio Encoder. I've been successfully

RE: Adjusting True Black & White Color
@CarpentersMate Hi, Just to avoid all confusion, please refer to the program as Movie Edit Pro, or MEP, followed by the version and either basic, Plus or Premium, and not just Edit Pro 15, which could also mean Vegas Pro Edit 15, a recent Magix

RE: Adjusting True Black & White Color
@CarpentersMate Hi AFAICR with version 15 you only have Brightness, Contrast and Saturation available for what you need. Desaturate first and then tweak the brightness and contrast. If you are using scanned images , and have an imaging editing

RE: Automatically adjust all clips' volume to the same perceived level
@FunkyB You mention turning on the Limiter. Is that the Limiter in the Mastering Suite (simply On or Off)? That's the only one I could find mentioned in the manual. No, the Limiter that I mentioned is under the part about using Music Editor 3.

RE: Humble Bundle - Vegas, Hitfilm Movie Ess., Sound Forge Audio 12, etc.
I pulled the trigger at the last minute. Hey, it's only $25. Not sure I'll switch from MEP Premium to Vegas Pro Edit 15 because I'm not sure I want to invest the time into the learning curve but a quick trial shows it is much more powerful.

Frame rate and selecton alignment are wrong for US standard videos
I am editing a video which has the standard US frame rate for movies of 23.976 and is 75 minutes long. If I try to export a section as an AVI and select the codec, MEP changes the frame rate to 23.98. Then when I continue, MEP says the frame rate

RE: Humble Bundle - Vegas, Hitfilm Movie Ess., Sound Forge Audio 12, etc.
@jaslan Yes, the Vegas team is in the USA and Magix brought on board probably most of the development team that was with Sony. MEP and VPX are done in Germany. Movie Edit Pro and Vegas Pro are not equivalent. MEP and Vegas Movie Studio are at about
