RE: Most features are greyed out can’t access
Hi @Jacie, exactly which features are grayed out? Some tools like SpectraLayers and Melodyne are only avaible with the Sound Forge Pro 'Suite' version. Sound Forge is an audio editing application, I do not recall ever seeing an embedded metronome.

RE: Big Delay when Input Monitor is On
Probably audio driver related, either which one used, and/or settings of it for block size, total latency range, etc. Assuming you are not trying to "live" monitor/listen to same track while recording... or, you could have too many plugins and

    RE: Sound Forge not recording
Thanks for your response. Actually, as it turns out, it IS possible, but I thought the same Jeff-- the microphone is there and live, sound is going through it, how can it not record? And it's been a good mic, Audio-Technica AT2020. I found the

RE: Preventing or correcting Sound Forge AS 17 90* rotation of mp4 file
@murrayatuptown Hi Below is a demo of editing the audio in Sound Forge (SF) from a video clip in Vegas Pro (VP), SF should be the default external editor in VP. Once Sound Forge has opened, you have access to all the SF tools for audio restoration,

@Gid @johnebaker @ericlnz Hi Gid. Downloading QuickTime Player worked for Vegas but not for MMS / VPX so far. System needs a reboot probably but I'm currently running reliability checks on all my drives and that may take more than a few hours to

RE: ACID Pro/Music Studio still a valid tool/DAW choice in todays market?
@GRB I think it's important to know that Acid is a product of the late 1990s and it's workflow was pretty new back then. In most other DAWs you had to input MIDI data to control samplers, or to record your own audio tracks by playing your own

Hi, John thanks for both of your responses. To your first, yes everything seems to be there and activated. To this second one: I actually did get some sound waves showing up in SF when I tried the microphone. It's barely functioning, very poor

@Eric-Elliott Hi Eric, I have separate media used such as photos or videos, but all audio (narration) is within the projects and not saved separately. I don't record audio separately at all, it is either recorded within the project in MS or

@Michael-Ryba Hi The modern method is vitually the same, only the connection has changed, use a digital phono USB pre-amp/converter, setting this as the recording source in Audio Cleaning Lab. John EBForum Moderator

@johnebaker Hi John EB, Not to confuse the two issues. The recording of the woman with the mic was fine, except for the effect, reverb, that the DJ likely had on the mixer. See ** below. I just used the DeReverb a bit and also got rid of some

@Ronald-Chin Does the recording stop each time at the same position (middle of the second song, independent from the start of the recording) or each time after about 7 minutes? Maybe you have USB energy saving enabled and Windows shuts down the USB

    RE: Videowandler 2 issues...
@Sami-Pekonmki @emmrecs I could try S-Video, however then there is the problem of recording the audio. S-video is not really a solution unless you can also have a separate audio feed.  Just use the audio (red and white plugs) from the 3-plug

RE: Multiple Audio Tracks? How to insert additional audio tracks?
@gary-o Sound Forge is better suited as as an audio file editor for already recorded files or as an mastering tool. For example if you use field recorders, like the ones from Zoom, which have multiple microphones and can record in Surround format.

I can't find such a cable, and this is indeed an old camcorder. I don't have a firewire port on my PC either, and those firewire cards for the motherboard seem really expensive. I have a USB-C connector, however. I don't know much about how well

RE: [Closed] Removing breathing sounds from video
@Kevin-Ward You could try an AI based voice isolation. There is a free tool called Ultimate Vocal Remover. It's usually used to split up music and vocals into separate audio files, so it removes the music from the vocals. I think that should also
