RE: DVD to Bluray
I think what you are trying to do is put multiple DVDs onto one BD disc? Is that correct? And in order to do that, you are attempting to re-encode the original DVD .vob files in order to make them compatible with the BD format? If what I have

DVD to Bluray
How do you burn a 4gb .vob or any other .mpeg file onto Bluray without it increasing the file size? I am not sure if I am selecting the right encoding format but it seems to be increasing the normal size of 4gb to nearly 14gb. I do not want them

RE: Codecs In MEP 2015
Hi . . . . With the MXV format they are some that 6 - 9 gb . . . That is not a problem - you can capture to this format, edit them if required in MEP, then when you burn the DVD using MEP 2015, the files will be encoded and compressed

RE: Put MP4 and MOV on same project; one fine the other crazy jumping picture
Hi, To isolate the issue methodically I would start by creating a very small new project consisting of one short file of each of the types in your troublesome project. When you import the various files into MEP, do you get a message asking

Put MP4 and MOV on same project; one fine the other crazy jumping picture

RE: Import large DV-AVI to the Time-line
Hi . . . . I vaguely recall issues about a '1 GB limit' of some sort . . . VOB files . . . . @ Terry - there is however it has nothing to do with MEP. That size limit is defined by the DVD specification and is the maximum permissible VOB size

RE: Import large DV-AVI to the Time-line
Hi, Those figures imply that MEP is playing only the first 1.0 GB. I vaguely recall issues about a '1 GB limit' of some sort. It was years ago, and I think it was in conection with importing VOB files, not DV-AVI, but I wonder if that has any

RE: Extracting files from burned DVD
Hi Kyle, In this case it doesn't matter much, as the answer is essentially the same with all versions of MEP. But there's no such Magix product as 'Movie 15'. Do you have the years old Movie Edit Pro 15, or perhaps the very latest Movie Edit Pro

RE: Why won't the DVD I created play back on my DVD player/TV? It doesn't recognize the DVD.
Hi, I'd start by trying a different type and/or brand of DVD disc. Then, assuming the DVD folder (VOB files etc) is created in PhotoStory as it is in MEP, then I'd try using an alternative burner, such as ImgBurn, using that folder as your

Hi, 1. Let's start with the definitions: In MAGIX Movie Edit Pro 2015 you will be working with "projects", "movies" and "objects". In order to work quickly and intuitively, it is important to know the differences between these three

Hi, The MAGIX CD-R Utility bundled with MEP 16 is an executable called MXCDR.exe. On my PC it's located here: C:\Program Files\MAGIX\Movie_Edit_Pro_16_Plus\mxcdr\MXCDR.exe It's a long-shot but maybe it works OK in stand-alone mode? Or with

RE: MEP 2014 : have tried many times to burn a < 2 hour DVD. Keep getting "Error encoding. Movie encoding failed message"
Maybe you should take a look at that last part of your movie. Make some changes in it or in the transitions, save it under a new name (so you don't loose your original work) and try from there. In the worst case, delete that specific part of the

RE: Can I burn to USB with Magix 17 pro
As John says, we're in guessing mode until you clarify what you mean. One guess is that you want to write the DVD (or Bluray) folder to a USB memory stick. That is possible. The folder and its VOB files are automatically written by MEP to a folder
