  Hi John, I have same attitude. Keep it simple and let the content do the work. I lapse occsionally with transitions, mainly to distinguish when I'm using material other than my own photos or movies. And that's also when I use few DIY collages. I

  Hi @ Peter . . . . Movie Settings (E key) and change the video settings to 720x480 NTSC 29.97fps whilst you edit. This allows VPX to process the preview material at a much lower resolution, reducing the demands on the CPU and graphics processor. . .

  Most of my collages DO show a composite thumbnail ( which gives some indication as to what photos are included in the collage) in storyboard mode and also in scene overview mode. I find this very useful for rearranging photos and collages - to edit
