Photostory 2014 imported VOB no audio
A few things are driving me crazy about this program. 1. The manual says that in Storyboard view I can double click any duration to change it. Not true, the cursor is a hand and double clicking does nothing. 2. I imported a 5 minute VOB file

Trying to burn a video - but only part of it will burn. What does "VTS_01_1.VOB - Should the existing file be used for the film ..." mean?
I'm using PhotoStory Deluxe 2013 on Windows Vista. I have created a file, saved it and burned it to DVD. I did not want a menu or chapters. I wanted the whole video (15 minutes, 30 seconds long) to play when put into the DVD player. So I unchecked

RE: Recording issue onto BD.using MEP 2013 plus.
Hi, As a start in isolating the problem I'd suggest you first try playing the VOB folder that MEP will have written. It will be in the folder specified under Program Settings > Folder. If that also fails like your DVD player, try exporting

RE: How can I burn a 23.96 timeline to DVD
Hi . . . . Hollywood Movies (24p) are also burned to PAL DVD (25p) . . . the DVD is 'flagged' so that it plays back at 25fps . . . I think what you are referring to is the 'Progressive' flag which will make a DVD player outout at the correct

RE: Dual channel or multiple sound tracks for multi-language audio tracks - problems in X6
Hi AFAIK most prosumer/consumer NLE's cannot do closed captioning directly. There are many third party closed caption generators / software available to create the necessary extra files. These extra files plus the video vobs or mp4's can

Hi . . . .So, it must be obvious to you that the 2 issues are Different! . . . Actually  it isn't the issue is the same - DVD files (VOBs) are actually mpg files with a different file extenion - the issue is that mpg files are prone to going

Yes the VOB files. I'm wondering if it's something to do with where I save these files? I browse to a second HD and save them there. Video Pro X creates these files fine but goes wrong after that. i have rerendered these files and it does exactly

Hi Licenced mpg codec is only available when you purchase the full version. MEP does import VOB - they are actually mpg files. HTH John

Hi . . . It asks if you want to use existing files so I click on 'yes'. . . . In the situation you have described, at that point I would click Re-encode all - I never let MEP or VPX re-use the existing files. I know it takes longer, however

If anyone is curious about this strange issue, I've been able to extract a 2 MB fragment of one of those strangely behaving VOB files and have uploaded it here: https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/4019461/VTS_01_1.zip Maybe that will give some

MEP 2014 corrupts some VOBs when imported
This strange problem is consistently repeatable here. And does not arise in MEP 16, 17, MX, or 2013. A small minority of the dozen or so VOB files I've dragged onto the timeline of a fresh MEP 2014 project have somewhow become corrupted, like

Even in it's original format of VOB it is actually worse. It just seemed a little better when I converted it.  But still can't get it right.  I saw something about codecs.  I'm not sure what that is..  You think this might have something to do

RE: How do you adjust audio to match video
First, I must ask, do you have the copyright holder's permission to use what is, I presume, a "commercial" DVD in your project?  You may only intend to keep your finished project for "personal use" but you do need to be aware that even "personal

I've yet to try the Burn function with no disc in the optical drive, in order to just get the rendered video folder on the PC drive - does it stop the operation AFTER those .VOB and .M2TS files are written? If it aborts with "no disc
