RE: Recommendations for professional video editing software?
eddie, Three quick comments -- I'm sure others will add their two cents. First, MEP14+ was OK then, but if you were to stick with that series you really need to upgrade to the current 17+. Second, I believe Video Pro X (now at version 3) is

    RE: Magix Editor Pro 14
Did you get the message that the product was registered when you first tried to register it or after? Your question infers that you have recently purchased MEP14, if so was it a brand new sealed box and unregistered?   You can also email

    Various questions about this site
I joined the magix.info site 4 years ago but didn't find it useful. I'm now returning because our English speaking forum at http://support2.magix.net/boards/magix/index.php?showforum=113 is sadly closing. So I'm essentially a novice

How can I get MEP to burn as a Limited User Account
I am using MEP 14 (with the latest updates) on a Windows XP Pro SP3 system.  It was working OK on an old PC.  I got a new PC and installed MEP on the new PC (as an administrator).  I registered the MPEG-2, MPEG-4, and DOLBY features and they

    RE: burning dvd
Hi Eileen, the million dollar question is, what version of MEP have you got. The initial MEP 15 wasn't really Win 7 compatible, but will work, 14 and less certainly wasn't, so it may be time to update to a new MEP  17 that is actually Win 7

RE: How to move chapters over to another page to fit where other chapter markers are?
shadow13524,   Can't say for MEP16 but for 14 & 17 the procedure seems to be to first select a default layout to get your background, font, borders & buttons, and then go to 'Composition' (MEP14+) or 'Order' (MEP17+) to choose the

RE: video sound cleaning lab vs audio cleaning lab
Hi there. Well, Video Sound Cleaning Lab is of course the option to get at the audio track in a video.  In MEP 14 Plus, the file when imported is already split into video and audio. You could then export the track into ACL 17 and clean it up,

RE: Deinstall current Movie Edit Pro before Installing next version?
Seamus,   I've never had any problems leaving older versions as they are. Each one is not so much an 'upgrade' but rather a complete new program*. The only real upgrades are the occasional patches that get applied and are reflected in the

RE: How do I creat a blank Object so I can have a "title' page to which I can put text.
dalaver,   You can simply put in a plain black image, eg .jpg or .bmp, using any photo editor eg Magix Photo Designer or Windows Paint. They all have a 'fill' tool, usually a paint bucket icon, to make the entire area any color you

kpeoctat,   Suprised there's a problem... I can simply drag a mp4 file into MEP14+ and that's an older version. I do get a promt for conversion to a format for easier editing but that can be ignored. Is the issue with a particular file, maybe

Help; my copy of MEP 17+ is STILL not working!!!!! Problems include with Program Monitor (both small & full screen)
Hi, I first posted a question on 18th March about the new (upgrade) copy of MEP 17+ that I'd just purchased from Amazon (I previously used MEP 14, which wasn't perfect but mostly worked quite well). I received the software as a CD in a box

It sounds like you have a memory or processor issue. Have you ever been able to run MEP14 before without this problem? If you are running on a slower machine you will have problem. Magix programs require a lot of power and ram to handle the load

RE: how i can stabilize video image
badbob, MEP14+ is Magix, not 'magic'! :-) There are limits to what the auto stabilization can do. It works best when there is an area with good contrast and reasonably sharp focus. I've found good results picking a reference area in the
