RE: aligning 3 videos to 1 audio file
Hi Peter, When I wrote "Master" I was using the term in the sense of the track which MEP sees as the "audio sync reference", the track with whose audio all other audio sources must be forced to align, as you commented. From experience I know this

RE: aligning 3 videos to 1 audio file
Hi John, Because the various sources, both audio and video are not synchronised to a common external master clock and hence are running to their own internal clocks, which can momentarily and slightly deviate from each other, the drift can, as it

RE: Unexpected result of a deletion
Hi Terry, Yes, those 6, 7, and 8 that you have remapped to 1, 2, 3 are often a problem. I should have made up a table when I did the tutorials of the different unintended consequences of using the importing and editing commands. Then I would have to

RE: aligning 3 videos to 1 audio file
@browj2 Unfortunately I don't think your test is directly relevant to the problem bobtal is experiencing, sorry. The difficulty created by a separate audio recording when attempting to sync it with camera audio manifests itself as the audios

RE: Need to know before I purchase!
@kalle-heiman Hi, This thread is now a year old and the OP has not returned with any more information or questions, so presumably he has gone elsewhere. The particular problem in this case is that the 4 videos are all recorded separately with the

RE: Out of sync film/audio
Hi, welcome to the forums. First, are you using MEP 17, or MEP 2017? My guess, from the mention of "HD" in the title is the former. (If you go to Help>About, you will be able to tell us exactly which version.) MEP 17 is rather old now, a more

Out of sync film/audio
I have been using Magix Movie Edit Pro 17 Plus HD for some years now and have never been happy with the DVD burn as the quality is not HD. The quality is better as a rendered data file but the picture and sound are out of sync. I have found that

RE: Saved Video file location
Hi . . . . On reinstalling the program . . . . You did not need to do this - in the Program settings you can change the default save location - did you read the installed PDF manual? Of the three file paths in the custom installation there should

RE: Audio track produces no audio before the video ends
Quick update: I noticed that my preview and proxy rendering settings were on "Best performance for HD", so I changed it back to "Best performance for playback" and will test this setting moving forward. It already seemed to have fixed the sync issue

Audio track produces no audio before the video ends
Hello gang, I'm hoping someone might be able to help here. The last half dozen videos I've been editing using Movie Edit Pro Premium (fully up-to-date) have had the same problem while editing. I import my video and audio track (two different

RE: Is there an easy explaination of interface navigation?
I've managed to figure out more of this. The GUI sync problem is better using the new 4.0.80 version.

RE: 4k Performance with Kaby Lake i7
Hi John, We are at cross purposes. Let me try to explain: There is NO problem with Quick Sync and MEP. The quality problem is in Quick Sync itself which is a hardware accelerated encoder for h.264. Handbrake was used in the example because, like

Hi Al . . . . is not a fair performance comparison . . . . Agreed, however I think you missed the point of my post: If I can run Movie Edit Pro Premium, on an i5-4670K, editing 4k video satisfactorily, with smooth playback, except for a few effects

RE: 4k Performance with Kaby Lake i7
Thanks John, I'm new to Magix so please bear with me. Your Haswell Gen 4 i5 cpu with Intel HD4600 Graphics (I also have one) is not a fair performance comparison for the new functions designed for the new Gen 7 cpus with Intel 630 Graphics in the

Sorry, spoke too soon! Come back to editing and find the same problem as re-appeared. As soon as I cut out a clip - the audio sync is out. Have checked the programme settings and the change you suggested is still enabled. Also tried again
