RE: Magix MovEdPro (17) - is it possible to save a completed disc movie (DVD or AVCHD or BD) to the PC harddrive as a folder (VIDEO_TS or BDMV) instead of directly to disc media?
John, I've managed to use the work-around by keeping the DVD-R tray empty. It creates the BDMV folder for AVCHD/BD, and the .VOB and .IFO files (without the VIDEO_TS folder) in the Disc Image location so that's fine. After rendering it requests a

Thanks guys. I did a test burn of a small (less than 4.5GB) AVCHD project to see if it works, written to a DVD-RW disc. I did find the BDMV folder where it belonged, in the Disc_Image folder, but no .ISO file, just the folder & contents as

Hi, Like Carl, I have the Image Recorder option in that drop-down and that's been true in all versions I can recall. That creates an ISO file in the folder you specify. However, I always prefer to create a DVD (VOB) folder (Carl's

RE: In the burning DVD's , how can I change "CUSTOM" in the Encoder settings to "Widescreen 16:9 ?
Hi Are you sure the disc image in the folder you tried is the one that was created after you changed the encoder settings and not one you previously created in 4x3 for the same project? Or: when you started the 16x9 mixdown and got the prompt

RE: Is there a simple way to get the photos from photostory on a DVD and convert them to a JPEG for other uses?
Hi Yes, however the quality will not be very good. The images will be 720 * 576 pixels in size and soft compared to the originals. If this is a commercial DVD then you need to check out the copyright / licensing for use of the DVD. In most

RE: MEP 2013 Plus is missing Video_ts.vob file following encoding of DVD content
No, this is not enabled as I did/do not have multiple films. Only one film with several chapters. If you don't have that enabled then you won't get a VIDEO_TS.VOB in your file structure. But why is its absence a problem in your

MEP 2013 Plus is missing Video_ts.vob file following encoding of DVD content
Thinking my old downloaded (2011) "Magix Video deluxe mx plus" might not work on the new computer with Windows 8 I ordered MEP 2013 Plus. In the past when I needed to burn several DVD's of a project I would just make a DVD content and then burn

RE: What is the fastest way to burn multiple copies (say 20) of a project to DVD?
Hi As Carl says use the image recorder option, then burn muliple copies using Nero, Roxio or Imgburn (freeware) and burn the ISO image - it is quicker than burning the VOB's, IFO's etc. Another option if you are going to be doing this

RE: What is the fastest way to burn multiple copies (say 20) of a project to DVD?
jeff3, Probably the easiest is to do your first output not directly to disc, but to the 'image recorder' option which creates a 'disc image' (.iso) and a set of files (.BUP, .VOB etc)) which can then be burnt to multiple DVDs. See this thread

Is it best to re-encode or use Copy mode for audio in format conversion

RE: How can I reduce the size of my DV videos ?
Hi Presumably this has been recorded in HD or uncompressed video format? When you burn to DVD the resolution is reduced down to 720 * 576 (PAL) or 720*480 (NTSC) and the video is transcoded/compressed to mpg format ( VOB on disk ). If it

RE: why video clips jerk and go out of sync – picture and audio when editing with magix ?
As I suspected, the files are not VOB. So that was a redundant discussion! You said they were "...sources imported from more than one dvd to make a new dvd." I assumed that meant regular DVDs (playable in a DVD player). Were they perhaps
